Align your degree to the role
Operations Analyst roles at JPMorganChase typically require a business, finance, economics, or engineering degree. Before applying, confirm your field of study maps directly to the job description, since specialty occupation status hinges on that match, not just having a degree.
Target JPMorganChase's internal mobility programs
JPMorganChase frequently promotes Operations Analysts from internship and rotational programs like the Corporate Analyst Development Program. If you're on OPT, these pathways are worth prioritizing since the company is already set up to handle your transition to H-1B sponsorship.
Search open roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Operations Analyst openings at JPMorganChase by visa type, so you're only reviewing positions the company is actively filing sponsorship for, rather than sifting through postings that don't lead anywhere.
Understand how JPMorganChase handles LCA filings
JPMorganChase files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before sponsoring H-1B workers. The LCA locks in your work location and prevailing wage tier, so if you're relocating between JPMorganChase offices after an offer, confirm the LCA reflects your actual worksite before filing.
Prepare for H-1B cap timing early
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start date. For Operations Analyst roles, JPMorganChase typically needs your offer finalized weeks before registration opens, so don't wait until spring to begin conversations with recruiters.
Flag your visa status before the final interview round
JPMorganChase's recruiting process for Operations Analysts moves quickly once you reach the final stage. Disclosing your sponsorship needs before that point, not after the offer, prevents delays and gives the HR compliance team time to confirm eligibility with internal immigration counsel.

Find Operations Analyst at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Analysts?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Operations Analysts. The company has a dedicated immigration function that handles petitions across its business lines, including corporate operations, asset management, and compliance. Because JPMorganChase qualifies as a large employer, it's also subject to the additional USCIS asylum program fee when filing H-1B petitions, which it covers as part of sponsorship.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase use for Operations Analyst roles?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Operations Analyst positions. H-1B is the most common path for non-Australian, non-Chilean, and non-Singaporean nationals. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and a faster path. H-1B1 applies to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. Green Card sponsorship typically follows after you've established yourself in the role.
How do I apply for Operations Analyst jobs at JPMorganChase?
Search for Operations Analyst openings directly on JPMorganChase's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to surface roles specifically tagged for visa sponsorship. JPMorganChase's application process includes an online screening, HireVue video interview, and typically one or two rounds of live interviews covering analytical thinking, process improvement scenarios, and business awareness. Having your resume tailored to the specific LOB you're applying into, whether that's commercial banking, asset management, or corporate functions, noticeably improves your chances.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for Operations Analyst roles?
Most Operations Analyst positions at JPMorganChase expect a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field. Familiarity with process mapping, data analysis tools like Excel or SQL, and risk or compliance frameworks is frequently cited in job descriptions. For USCIS H-1B specialty occupation purposes, your degree field needs to align directly with the role, not just broadly relate to it.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a JPMorganChase role?
USCIS H-1B registration opens in early March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, you can start before October 1 and use the cap-gap provision to stay in status while your petition is pending. JPMorganChase typically needs offers confirmed well before registration opens, so targeting a late-fall or winter start to your recruiting process gives you enough runway to align the offer timeline with the USCIS filing window.
