Overview
Intuit’s Lending businesses sit at the heart of our Services Segment. Our Lending offerings help small businesses access capital, manage spend, and improve cash flow — all within the QuickBooks platform. As we scale Lending, we need a Strategy & Biz Ops Principal who can drive clarity, operational rigor, and forward-looking strategy in one of the company’s fastest-growing areas.
This role is not a back-office strategist. You will run the operating system, shape the multi-year strategy, and put points on the board by unblocking the funnel, accelerating execution, and ensuring the business moves with discipline and speed.
You will report directly to the Head of Lending for the Services Segment and, as a core member of the Lending Business, partner closely with Product, Risk, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, Sales, Partnerships, and the Lending & Business Credit Card leadership teams.
Responsibilities
How You’ll Lead (Responsibilities)
Run the operating system for Lending
- Own the end-to-end operating cadence for Lending: MBRs, Priority Reviews, dashboards, performance insights, and readiness tracking.
- Deliver a clear narrative of business performance, risks, and opportunities — driving alignment among senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Identify execution gaps and surface the highest-leverage actions to accelerate acquisition, activation, and usage of our Lending products.
- Partner with Product, Credit Risk, and Marketing to resolve funnel frictions and ensure the business is meeting plan.
- Instill accountability and operational rigor across the org.
Shape the multi-year strategy
- Build a cohesive long-term strategy for Lending, including customer segmentation, competitive landscape, product evolution, and “better together” plays across the Money portfolio.
- Develop frameworks and choices that clarify tradeoffs for senior leadership.
- Create clarity across a complex, cross-functional business
- Translate complexity into actionable insights, ensuring teams understand priorities and success measures.
- Anticipate where alignment will break down and proactively drive resolution.
- Partner deeply with Lending leadership
- Work hand-in-glove with the Product leaders, Risk, and Biz Ops
- Elevate the rigor of the organization
- Build repeatable systems for diagnosing performance, evaluating initiatives, and driving disciplined execution.
- Ensure decisions are data-backed, high-trust, and move the business forward.
Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years in strategy & business operations, product strategy, consulting or operating roles in high-growth technology environments. Consulting experience helpful but not required. SaaS or fintech experience preferred; This role requires rapid mastery of lending and credit concepts; you will be expected to come up the curve quickly, supported by internal domain experts.
Leadership & Operating Skillset
- Proven ability to run an operating system: drive a cadence, create clarity, instill accountability, and manage a portfolio of initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience moving a business from strategy action results.
- Comfortable operating with urgency, ambiguity, and evolving business needs.
Strategic & Analytical Strength
- Strong structured problem-solving, ability to define choices, and comfort navigating multi-stakeholder complexity.
- Ability to distill insights from imperfect data and tell a compelling story.
Execution & Ownership
- Track record of putting points on the board — identifying opportunities, driving alignment, resolving blockers, and landing outcomes.
- Extreme ownership mindset; moves naturally between long-term thinking and short-term unblock.
Communication
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complexity and influence at scale.

Frame Your Credentials Around Specialty Occupation Standards
Business Operations roles at Intuit often require USCIS to recognize the position as a specialty occupation. Documenting that your degree field directly maps to the responsibilities in the job posting strengthens your petition before the employer even files.
Target Intuit Roles That Cross Finance and Technology
Intuit's Business Operations function sits at the intersection of financial software and strategic planning. Roles tied to product analytics, revenue operations, or go-to-market strategy tend to have clearer specialty occupation arguments than general coordinator positions.
Search Verified Sponsoring Employers Before Applying
Use Migrate Mate to filter Business Operations openings specifically at Intuit, so you're applying only to roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process, not something you'll need to negotiate from scratch.
Clarify OPT Cap-Gap Coverage Before Your Start Date
If you're on F-1 OPT and Intuit files your H-1B in April, the cap-gap rule extends your work authorization through September 30 while USCIS processes the petition. Confirm with your DSO that your I-20 reflects cap-gap status before your OPT expiration date passes.
Align Your Offer Timeline With the H-1B Filing Window
H-1B petitions for October 1 start dates require USCIS registration in March. If you're interviewing at Intuit in late spring or summer, ask HR whether the role can accommodate a delayed start or whether a cap-exempt filing pathway applies to your situation.
Prepare a Prevailing Wage Narrative for Operations Titles
DOL prevailing wage determinations for Business Operations titles can vary widely by level and location. Understanding which wage tier your offered role falls into helps you spot potential LCA issues before they delay your petition at the filing stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. The company has a established immigration program that handles petitions across its major U.S. offices, including roles in strategy, program management, and revenue operations. Your offer letter will typically outline the sponsorship process, and Intuit's legal team coordinates directly with outside immigration counsel to file the petition.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Intuit?
Applications go through Intuit's careers portal, where Business Operations roles are listed under functions like Finance, Strategy, and Corporate Development. Tailoring your resume to highlight cross-functional program ownership and data-driven decision-making improves your chances. You can also browse verified Business Operations openings at Intuit on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly use for Business Operations roles?
Intuit sponsors several visa categories for Business Operations positions, including H-1B, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students. For longer-term pathways, Intuit also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, typically initiated after an employee has been in role for a period of time.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for Business Operations roles?
Most Business Operations roles at Intuit require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, with senior positions often expecting an MBA or equivalent experience. Intuit prioritizes candidates with analytical fluency, experience with cross-functional project ownership, and familiarity with SaaS or financial technology environments. For USCIS purposes, the stronger the tie between your degree and the specific role, the cleaner the specialty occupation argument.
How long does the sponsorship process take if Intuit extends an offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B standard processing runs three to five months after USCIS receives the petition, though premium processing can reduce USCIS adjudication to 15 business days. E-3 consular processing for Australian citizens typically moves faster, often within a few weeks of the interview. PERM labor certification for Green Card sponsorship runs 12 to 24 months before the I-140 petition stage begins.
