Align your credentials to data center operations
Equinix's Business Operations roles often sit at the intersection of technology infrastructure and business process. Framing your experience around operational efficiency, vendor management, or cross-functional program delivery in tech environments strengthens your fit before you apply.
Target roles tied to global operations teams
Equinix runs interconnected data centers across dozens of markets, so Business Operations headcount often ties to global expansion programs. Roles on those teams tend to have more established sponsorship workflows than newly created positions, which means smoother H-1B or TN filing processes.
Confirm LCA coverage before accepting an offer
Before signing, verify that your job title and worksite location are covered by the Labor Condition Application your employer files with DOL. Business Operations roles at large infrastructure companies sometimes span multiple sites, and the LCA must reflect where you'll actually work.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Business Operations roles
Filtering by both role type and sponsorship history saves significant time in your search. Migrate Mate lets you browse verified Business Operations openings at Equinix specifically, so you're not sifting through postings at employers with no sponsorship track record.
Prepare for specialty occupation documentation early
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Business Operations roles more closely than for purely technical positions. Gather documentation showing that your specific duties require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or supply chain management, before your employer files Form I-129.
Understand OPT cap-gap timing if you're on F-1
If your OPT expires before October 1 and your H-1B petition is selected in the lottery, your cap-gap period bridges the gap automatically. Confirm with HR that Equinix will file your petition before your OPT end date to preserve continuous work authorization through the transition.

Does Equinix sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Equinix sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. The company has an active sponsorship track record for this function, covering both cap-subject petitions and extensions. Because Business Operations can draw USCIS scrutiny around specialty occupation requirements, your employer's HR and legal team will typically build a strong evidentiary record documenting why the role requires a relevant degree.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Equinix?
Applications go through Equinix's careers portal. Search for Business Operations, Operations Program Manager, or related titles and filter by your preferred region. Before applying, tailor your resume to reflect operational impact in technology or infrastructure environments. You can also browse verified open roles at Equinix through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where sponsorship is available.
Which visa types does Equinix commonly use for Business Operations roles?
H-1B is the primary visa for Business Operations professionals at Equinix, covering both new hires and transfers from other H-1B employers. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or business analyst categories. For longer-term paths, Equinix also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process for eligible employees.
What qualifications does Equinix expect for Business Operations roles?
Most Business Operations positions at Equinix require a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, finance, or a related field. Practical experience in process improvement, cross-functional project delivery, or vendor operations is heavily weighted. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, the degree field needs to align directly with job duties, so a general management background without a relevant degree can complicate the petition.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Business Operations hire?
For H-1B transfers from an existing H-1B employer, work can begin as soon as USCIS receives the petition. For new H-1B cap-subject filings, the lottery runs in March with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. PERM labor certification for Green Card sponsorship typically takes 12 to 24 months before an I-140 immigrant petition can be filed, depending on DOL processing backlogs.
