Frame your credentials around infrastructure programs
Equinix Program Manager roles typically involve overseeing data center builds, network deployments, or enterprise customer onboarding. Tailor your resume to highlight cross-functional program delivery in technical environments, not just project coordination. PMP certification strengthens your candidacy significantly.
Target roles that require a specialty occupation degree
H-1B eligibility depends on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation. For Program Manager positions, a degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems is a stronger fit than a general business degree when USCIS reviews your petition.
Search open roles through Migrate Mate
Equinix posts Program Manager openings across multiple business units. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Equinix roles that actively support visa sponsorship, so you're not applying blind to positions where sponsorship isn't confirmed.
Ask about LCA timing before accepting an offer
Before your H-1B petition can be filed, your employer must get a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL. Ask your recruiter where that process stands so you understand the real start date for your employment.
Prepare a clear post-offer documentation checklist
Once Equinix extends an offer, their immigration team will need your passport, degree transcripts, and prior visa documents quickly. Having certified translations and credential evaluations ready in advance prevents delays in petition preparation.

Find Program Manager at Equinix JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Equinix sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Equinix sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has an established immigration program and works with external immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying candidates. Your degree field matters: roles tied to technical program delivery in data center or network environments tend to have a cleaner path to H-1B approval than generalist management positions.
Which visa types does Equinix commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
Equinix sponsors H-1B visas for most Program Manager hires requiring work authorization. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students transitioning into full-time roles, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. For longer-term pathways, Equinix has sponsored Green Card applications through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM labor certification for employees in this function.
What qualifications does Equinix expect for Program Manager roles?
Equinix typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a technical or business-adjacent field, though roles involving infrastructure or network programs often prefer engineering or computer science backgrounds. Several years of program or project management experience in a technology environment is standard. Familiarity with data center operations, cloud platforms, or enterprise customer delivery strengthens your profile considerably.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Equinix?
You can find and apply for Program Manager positions at Equinix through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles that support visa sponsorship so you know upfront whether the position is open to candidates who need it. Applications go through Equinix's own hiring system. Roles are spread across multiple business units, so search broadly across categories like infrastructure, customer success, and product delivery.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Equinix?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once a year, with USCIS opening registration in March and employment starting no earlier than October 1. If you're starting a Program Manager role at Equinix on OPT, confirm your OPT end date covers the gap between your start date and your H-1B effective date. If your OPT expires before October 1, ask whether a STEM OPT extension applies to your situation.
