Align your PM credentials to hardware delivery
Qualcomm's Program Manager roles center on chip development cycles, cross-site engineering coordination, and release execution. Frame your resume around technical program delivery, not just stakeholder management, so your background maps directly to their product pipeline.
Target teams with active LCA filings
Search the DOL's LCA disclosure data for Qualcomm Program Manager postings by worksite location. Offices in San Diego, Austin, and Raleigh file consistently. Knowing which sites are actively hiring helps you prioritize applications where sponsorship is already in motion.
Prepare for the H-1B cap lottery timeline early
If you need H-1B sponsorship and aren't cap-exempt, USCIS registration opens in March with an April 1 earliest start date. Build this into your offer timing so Qualcomm's legal team can file within the correct window without rushing documentation.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Program Manager roles
Program Manager openings at Qualcomm fill quickly across multiple business units. Use Migrate Mate to filter active listings by visa sponsorship type so you're only spending time on roles that match your immigration situation.
Document cross-functional scope for USCIS specialty occupation
USCIS scrutinizes Program Manager petitions because the title can appear generalist. Get your offer letter to specify the technical discipline, such as RF systems, modem software, or silicon validation, and ensure your degree field aligns directly to that scope.

Find Program Manager at Qualcomm JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Qualcomm sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Qualcomm sponsors H-1B visas for Program Managers. The company has a dedicated immigration team that handles petitions across its engineering and product organizations. If you're subject to the annual H-1B cap, your employer registration must be submitted to USCIS in March for an October 1 start date, so timing your offer accordingly is important.
Which visa types does Qualcomm commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Qualcomm sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Program Manager roles. Your nationality and educational background determine which path applies. Australian citizens may qualify for the H-1B1, while Canadian and Mexican nationals working in eligible specialty occupations can pursue TN status.
What qualifications does Qualcomm expect for Program Manager roles?
Qualcomm's Program Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field. Experience managing hardware or software development programs in a cross-functional environment is expected. Roles tied to chip development, modem platforms, or RF systems often require familiarity with semiconductor product lifecycles and stage-gate processes.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Qualcomm?
You can browse and apply for Program Manager positions at Qualcomm directly through their careers portal, filtering by location and business unit. For a filtered view of roles that include visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lists open Qualcomm Program Manager positions and identifies which visa categories are supported so you can match listings to your immigration status before applying.
How do I time my Qualcomm offer around the H-1B process?
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, the practical window is narrow. USCIS opens registration in March, selections are announced in late March or April, and the earliest employment start date is October 1. Coordinate your offer acceptance and background check completion well before the March registration deadline so Qualcomm's immigration counsel can file your petition without missing the cycle.
