Frame your credentials around AV program complexity
Zoox evaluates Program Managers on their ability to drive hardware-software integration across large, interdisciplinary teams. Tailor your resume to highlight milestone ownership in robotics, embedded systems, or vehicle development rather than general project delivery.
Research Zoox's open Program Manager pipeline early
Zoox runs a large and active Program Manager hiring pipeline. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type and apply before headcount freezes, since autonomous vehicle programs often have budget cycles that close roles quickly.
Prepare for a specialty occupation documentation request
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Program Manager titles because the role spans many functions. Gather degree transcripts, job descriptions from past employers, and any certifications in systems engineering or product development to support your specialty occupation case.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Ask the Zoox recruiter directly which visa categories they're filing in your cycle and whether premium processing is standard practice. Knowing this before signing lets you calculate your expected start date and avoid gaps if you're transitioning from another status.
Understand how PERM affects long-term planning at Zoox
If you're targeting a Green Card through Zoox, PERM labor certification timelines from DOL can run 12 to 18 months or longer. Factor this into your negotiation, since starting PERM early in your tenure significantly reduces out-of-status risk later.

Find Program Manager at Zoox JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zoox sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Zoox sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. Because the H-1B requires demonstrating that the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, Zoox typically documents the technical nature of the role, including its intersection with autonomous vehicle engineering and systems integration, as part of the petition. Premium processing is worth discussing with your recruiter to firm up your start timeline.
Which visa types does Zoox commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
Zoox sponsors a broad range of visa categories for Program Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and employment-based Green Cards under EB-2 and EB-3. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and is processed at a consulate. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations can use the TN visa, which requires no USCIS petition.
What qualifications does Zoox expect from Program Manager candidates?
Zoox Program Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, along with experience managing cross-functional programs in hardware-software environments. Familiarity with autonomous vehicle development, robotics, or automotive manufacturing programs is a significant differentiator. Candidates with experience owning end-to-end program delivery in fast-iteration environments tend to progress further in the hiring process.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Zoox?
Browse open Program Manager roles at Zoox on Migrate Mate, where listings are filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Tailor your application to the specific program domain listed in the job description, whether that's vehicle integration, software delivery, or manufacturing operations. Apply directly through Zoox's careers portal after identifying the right opening.
How do I time my application to avoid gaps in work authorization?
If you're on F-1 OPT, file your H-1B registration before the April lottery window and confirm Zoox intends to sponsor you in that cycle. The 60-day grace period after OPT expiration does not authorize work, so any gap between statuses creates real risk. TN and E-3 holders have more flexibility since those visas can be renewed without a cap, but petition timing still needs to align with your current status end date.
