Overview
Come join Intuit’s Mid Market Product Development team as a Principal Technical Program Manager. We are seeking a dynamic program leader who excels at driving strategic programs and initiatives across a complex, cross-functional organization — someone who brings structure, momentum, and clarity to the work that matters most. You will lead high-impact programs from strategy through delivery, ensuring cross-functional alignment at every stage and translating organizational priorities into measurable outcomes.
You will operate across the full breadth of the Mid Market organization, building trusted partnerships with leaders at all levels, driving operating rhythms that keep teams moving with speed and purpose, and stepping into ambiguity with confidence to bring order and direction. If you are passionate about solving complex customer problems at scale and energized by the challenge of making large, diverse teams work as one, we would love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities
Portfolio & Strategic Leadership
- Partner with Portfolio Leadership to unblock program teams and guide delivery across a broad and complex program portfolio.
- Connect the dots across various programs to simplify the “why, what, and how” for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Influence prioritization and tradeoff discussions across Product and Engineering leaders to ensure teams focus on the highest-impact work.
- Leverage AI tools and data insights to streamline program operations and accelerate execution velocity.
Cross-Domain Execution & Dependency Leadership
- Lead cross-team dependency forums across engineering domains, driving horizontal alignment across Mid Market PD teams and partners.
- Define and implement program frameworks and consistent operating cadences to ensure teams deliver with velocity and ease.
- Identify and proactively manage risks, dependencies, architectural misalignment, and execution bottlenecks — driving data-informed decisions to resolution.
- Drive cross-functional execution across multiple scrum teams, ensuring clarity on priorities, roles, and outcomes.
Roadmapping & Planning
- Partner with engineering leaders to develop and maintain six-quarter capability roadmaps aligned to product and business strategies.
- Ensure roadmaps clearly articulate technical investments, sequencing, and tradeoffs, and track progress against evolving priorities.
- Translate business and platform strategy into clear program goals, milestones, and measurable success metrics.
- Define and implement repeatable frameworks and processes that improve delivery speed, quality, and scalability across programs.
Stakeholder Communication & Culture
- Drive transparency through clear, actionable communication at all levels — from engineering teams to Senior Leadership.
- Build trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Business Operations to lead through change and ambiguity.
- Define and implement program management best practices; coach and mentor other TPMs to raise the bar across the organization.
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering, architecture, or related roles.
- Proven experience influencing Director/VP-level stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong technical depth and the ability to engage credibly with senior engineers and architects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly with executive audiences.
- Demonstrated success driving complex, multi-domain initiatives with significant dependencies.
Preferred
- Experience in platform or large-scale enterprise systems.
- Experience supporting BI, data platforms, or AI-driven capabilities.

Tips for Finding Program Manager Jobs at Intuit
Frame your PM credentials for specialty occupation
Intuit's H-1B petitions for Program Managers require demonstrating specialty occupation status. Make sure your resume ties your degree field directly to your PM discipline, whether that's computer science, engineering, or information systems, not just general business.
Target Intuit's platform and fintech product teams
Intuit clusters Program Manager hiring around QuickBooks, TurboTax, and Credit Karma. Applying to roles within these product lines signals domain fit and increases your chances with hiring managers who understand the complexity of sponsoring international candidates.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open PM roles
Intuit posts Program Manager positions across multiple job boards, making it easy to miss roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track Intuit openings confirmed to sponsor, so you're applying to the right positions from the start.
Clarify your OPT timeline before your first interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, calculate your remaining authorized period before engaging Intuit's recruiters. Program Manager hiring cycles at large technology companies typically run eight to sixteen weeks, and your cap-gap or STEM extension eligibility affects how the team structures your start date and H-1B filing timeline.
Negotiate your start date around the H-1B cap
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start. If your offer lands outside that window, discuss an alternative start under a cap-exempt arrangement or plan your OPT bridge with your employer's immigration counsel before countersigning.
Request a PERM-aware role structure for Green Card planning
Intuit supports EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship for Program Managers. During offer negotiation, ask whether the role description is structured to satisfy DOL's PERM minimum requirements, since a generic job title without defined duties can extend your labor certification timeline significantly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company files both cap-subject and transfer petitions for this function across its product divisions. Because Program Manager is a defined specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, these petitions are generally well-supported, though your specific role description needs to satisfy USCIS's specialty occupation criteria.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly use for Program Manager positions?
Intuit sponsors Program Managers under several visa categories, including H-1B, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT or CPT for students completing degrees in the U.S. For longer-term sponsorship, Intuit also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, with PERM labor certification typically initiated after a candidate has been in role for some time.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for Program Manager roles?
Intuit's Program Manager positions typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a closely related field, combined with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional software programs. Roles tied to QuickBooks or TurboTax often expect familiarity with agile delivery, stakeholder management at scale, and the ability to translate technical requirements into roadmap priorities within a large matrixed organization.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Intuit?
You can apply directly through Intuit's careers site, but not every listing specifies whether visa sponsorship is available for that particular opening. To avoid applying to roles that won't support your situation, browse Program Manager positions at Intuit through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles confirmed to sponsor and lets you filter by visa type so you're targeting the right opportunities from the start.
How do I plan my timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Intuit?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March, with approved petitions taking effect October 1. If Intuit selects you in the lottery and files your petition, you'll typically receive a USCIS receipt notice within a few weeks of the April filing date. If you're currently on OPT, coordinate your offer letter timing and start date carefully, since your authorized period and any STEM extension must bridge through to your H-1B activation date.
