Overview
Intuit is on a mission to power prosperity around the world. Within our Mid-Market segment, we are building the next-generation ERP platform that defines how growing and complex businesses operate in an AI-native world. To win in Mid-Market, we must deliver vertical editions — differentiated, defensible products purpose-built for specific, complex industries.
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to own Intuit's Healthcare vertical. This is a 0-1 opportunity; healthcare is a greenfield space for us, and this product manager will define what winning looks like. You will translate the complexity of healthcare provider and services operations into a compliance-ready, AI-native product roadmap that makes Intuit the operating backbone of mid-market healthcare businesses.
Responsibilities
-
Define the multi-year product vision for the Healthcare vertical edition within the Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES).
-
Identify the highest-impact workflows for healthcare providers, billing services, and healthcare-adjacent businesses — and build a roadmap that solves them better than any competitor.
-
Develop and maintain the Healthcare "Command Center" vision: the go-to operating system for healthcare business owners and CFOs.
-
Prioritize ruthlessly across compliance, AI automation, and workflow innovation to deliver a roadmap that wins customers and drives retention.
-
Own Intuit's Healthcare compliance posture for the vertical — HIPAA readiness, billing requirements (CPT/ICD coding integrations), and regulatory reporting workflows.
-
Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security to ensure the product meets the evolving regulatory requirements of healthcare providers without sacrificing user experience.
-
Translate compliance constraints into product opportunities: make compliance a competitive moat, not a cost center.
-
Deeply understand the operational pain points of mid-market healthcare businesses: medical practices, dental groups, outpatient facilities, healthcare staffing, and related services.
-
Build and maintain a network of reference customers, design partners, and industry SMEs to ground the roadmap in real-world workflows.
-
Synthesize qualitative and quantitative signals (customer interviews, usage data, win/loss analysis) into product decisions with clear business outcomes.
-
Partner with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and GTM to take features from concept to GA with speed and quality.
-
Define and track OKRs aligned to Healthcare vertical revenue, retention, and customer satisfaction.
-
Represent the Healthcare vertical in MPR, planning cycles, and executive reviews — communicating progress, risks, and asks clearly.
-
Identify and evaluate strategic integrations with healthcare-specific 3rd party tools (EHR/EMR systems, billing platforms, payroll providers) that create a "1+1=3" value proposition.
-
Work with VARs, accounting partners, and healthcare industry influencers to scale market presence and awareness.
-
Act as Intuit's external voice for the Healthcare vertical at key industry events and with press and analysts.
Qualifications
-
10+ years in product management, with at least 2 years in B2B SaaS, ERP, or a complex platform product.
-
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree (MHA, MBA, or MPH) a plus.
-
Domain expertise in healthcare operations, medical billing, or healthcare technology — you deeply understand the operational complexity of mid-market healthcare businesses.
-
Track record of owning a 0-1 product build or new market entry, from discovery through GA.
-
Comfort operating in a compliance-heavy environment; you know how to ship fast without creating regulatory risk.
-
Strong customer empathy and qualitative research skills — you can run a discovery interview, synthesize 20 customer calls into a crisp insight, and translate that into a roadmap decision.
-
Data fluency: comfortable with SQL, dashboards, and quantitative analysis to validate decisions.
-
Executive presence and written communication skills to represent the vertical with senior leadership.

Frame your product experience around Intuit's platforms
Intuit Product Owner roles emphasize customer-obsessed product thinking across fintech and SMB software. Tailor your resume and portfolio to show experience with data-driven roadmaps, cross-functional delivery, and consumer-facing products rather than generic agile or project management work.
Clarify your visa category before applying
Intuit sponsors multiple visa types for Product Owners, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Knowing which category fits your background lets you ask targeted questions during recruiter screens and avoids late-stage surprises when the offer and petition process begins.
Target roles that align with specialty occupation requirements
For H-1B eligibility, your Product Owner role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles tied to software product management, engineering, or business systems analysis at Intuit have a stronger foundation for USCIS approval than generalist PM titles.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Intuit Product Owner openings
Intuit posts Product Owner roles across multiple business units and locations, which makes filtering for sponsorship-eligible positions time-consuming. Use Migrate Mate to surface Intuit openings that have an active sponsorship history and match your visa type.
Get your degree equivalency documented early
If your degree is from outside the United States, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved provider before you receive an offer. Intuit's immigration team will need this for your I-129 petition, and delays in evaluation can push your filing outside a viable processing window.
Negotiate your start date around the DOL LCA timeline
Your employer must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Build at least two to four weeks into your offer negotiation for LCA certification, especially if your target start date is near a fiscal quarter boundary.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Product Owners?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Product Owner roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a bachelor's degree in a field like computer science, information systems, or business. Intuit has an in-house immigration team that manages the petition process, so you won't be navigating USCIS filings on your own once you have an offer.
How do I apply for Product Owner jobs at Intuit?
Apply directly through Intuit's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to browse Product Owner openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Intuit's hiring process for Product Owners typically includes a recruiter screen, a product case study or take-home assignment, and multiple panel interviews covering product strategy, stakeholder management, and data analysis. Flagging your visa needs early in the recruiter screen helps avoid delays later.
Which visa types does Intuit sponsor for Product Owner roles?
Intuit sponsors several visa categories for Product Owner positions, including H-1B, E-3 visa (for Australian citizens), TN visa (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, and J-1 visa for eligible exchange visitors. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Intuit also supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways, including the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for sponsored Product Owner roles?
Intuit's Product Owner roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical or business field. Practical experience shipping consumer or SMB software products carries significant weight. Proficiency with agile frameworks, product analytics tools, and cross-functional leadership is expected. Candidates with fintech or SaaS backgrounds are particularly competitive given Intuit's core product portfolio.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after receiving an offer from Intuit?
Timeline depends on visa type. For H-1B cap-subject petitions, USCIS filings open in April for an October 1 start date, so your offer may need to align with that window. H-1B transfers for candidates already in valid status can move faster. E-3 and TN petitions are generally processed within a few weeks. USCIS premium processing, which guarantees a 15 business day adjudication window, is available for H-1B petitions if timing is critical.
