Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Program Manager Jobs at Figma Jobs
Frame your PM credentials around design ops
Figma prioritizes Program Managers who can demonstrate experience coordinating product launches or platform initiatives. Tailor your resume to show cross-functional program ownership, not just project coordination, before you apply.
Target roles labeled 'Technical Program Manager'
Figma's PM openings vary significantly in sponsorship likelihood based on team. Roles tied to engineering infrastructure or platform teams have historically required specialized credentials that align well with specialty occupation standards under H-1B.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Figma PM openings
Not every Figma Program Manager posting explicitly states visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where Figma has an active sponsorship history for this function, so you're applying to positions where support is realistic.
Request the LCA wage level before negotiating your offer
Once Figma extends an offer, ask your recruiter which DOL prevailing wage level the Labor Condition Application is filed at. This determines your minimum salary floor and affects your ability to negotiate above it.
Document your degree's relevance to program management
USCIS scrutinizes whether a Program Manager role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Prepare a written explanation linking your specific degree field to Figma's technical program management requirements before your employer files the I-129 petition.

Find Program Manager at Figma JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Figma sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Figma sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles, particularly those tied to technical or platform teams where a specialized degree is central to the position. Because Program Manager is occasionally scrutinized as a specialty occupation, your application is strongest when your educational background directly maps to the responsibilities in the job description.
Which visa types does Figma commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
Figma sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for Program Managers, along with E-3 visas for Australian citizens and F-1 OPT for recent graduates. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Figma has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and how far along you are in your career.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Figma?
Applications go through Figma's careers page, where Program Manager roles are listed under Operations or Product. Before applying, verify the role explicitly mentions visa sponsorship or research Figma's sponsorship history for this function. Tailor your application to highlight cross-functional program ownership, stakeholder alignment, and any experience in software product environments. Migrate Mate is a useful starting point for finding and filtering Figma PM openings that align with your visa situation.
What qualifications does Figma expect for Program Manager candidates needing sponsorship?
Figma typically looks for Program Managers with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, business, or information systems, combined with demonstrated experience managing complex programs across technical teams. For sponsorship purposes, your degree should have a clear, defensible connection to the role's responsibilities, since USCIS evaluates whether Program Manager positions meet the specialty occupation standard on a case-by-case basis.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Figma to sponsor an H-1B?
If you need a new H-1B, the cap registration window opens in March each year, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. That means you need an offer in place by late February to participate in the lottery. If you're already on F-1 OPT or another status, Figma can potentially file outside the cap or bridge your status while a cap-subject petition is pending. Confirm your current status and authorized end date with Figma's immigration team as soon as you receive an offer.
