About the Team
At DoorDash, our people are at the heart of everything we do. With operations spanning 40+ countries, ensuring smooth and compliant immigration is critical to our growth. The Global Immigration pillar within our Global Mobility & Immigration (GMI) team manages immigration strategy and operations worldwide, partnering with employees, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that enable global workforce agility.
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Immigration Program Manager to join the Global Immigration pillar. In this role, you'll focus on managing our high-volume US immigration program, working closely with employees, managers, and vendors to ensure timely and compliant processes. You'll also contribute to improving how we track, report, and scale immigration support across the business. You'll own and drive the execution of our US immigration program, with opportunities to expand into the wider Americas region over time.
You will report into the Global Immigration Manager on our Global Mobility & Immigration team in the People Operations.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- You'll take full ownership of our US immigration program - managing day-to-day immigration cases (work visas, green cards, compliance tracking) in close partnership with employees, managers, recruiters, and vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and employee-friendly processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for complex immigration scenarios and serve as the internal point of contact, providing clear guidance on immigration processes, policies, and timelines.
- Support process improvements, data accuracy, and reporting across our immigration portfolio.
- Contribute to scalable practices as our team grows, proactively identifying program gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Be part of a supportive and fast-paced global People team that values collaboration and innovative problem-solving.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Talent Acquisition) and our larger GMI team to ensure alignment and compliance.
We're excited about you because…
- You have at least 4-6 years of experience in US immigration (e.g., at a law firm, vendor, or in-house program) within a high-volume environment.
- You've supported or managed high-volume immigration programs and thrive on taking ownership of day-to-day execution with accuracy and reliability.
- You have deep expertise in common US nonimmigrant visa categories (H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1), as well as experience managing large PERM and immigrant visa programs.
- You stay up to date with the latest changes in the US immigration landscape to identify potential areas of risk and plan mitigation strategies.
- You're able to manage multiple cases at once with accuracy and care, and you communicate clearly and collaboratively with employees and partners.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and are eager to grow your scope over time.
- You have experience with case management systems or centralized vendor platforms to manage immigration cases efficiently.
- You're a collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally and continuously improving how immigration programs operate.
- You're curious and open to thoughtfully using AI tools to enhance efficiency, insights, and impact in your work.
We expect to fill this position by 6/20/2026.

Frame operations experience in DoorDash's language
DoorDash Program Manager roles focus on cross-functional execution, data-driven decision making, and scaled operations. Tailor your resume to show measurable impact across product, engineering, and ops teams rather than project coordination alone.
Target roles outside San Francisco headquarters
DoorDash hires Program Managers across New York, Seattle, Chicago, and remote, which affects which USCIS service center processes your petition and can influence adjudication timelines. Applying to non-headquarters locations can open faster pipelines.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Program Manager roles
DoorDash posts Program Manager openings across several verticals simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track roles that align with your visa type so you can prioritize applications where sponsorship is already an established pattern.
Understand DoorDash's PERM timeline for immigrant petitions
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, DoorDash typically initiates PERM labor certification after you've demonstrated performance in role. The DOL PERM process can take a year or more, so raise this with your recruiter early in negotiations.
Request premium processing before your start date
For H-1B transfers or new petitions, USCIS premium processing guarantees a decision within 15 business days. Ask your DoorDash HR contact whether the company covers this fee upfront, since delays beyond your current visa's expiration can affect your right to work.

Find Program Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has an established sponsorship process for this function and works with immigration counsel to file petitions for qualifying candidates. If you're subject to the H-1B cap lottery, timing your application to align with the April 1 registration window is critical. Cap-exempt situations, such as transfers from certain nonprofits, have separate timelines.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Program Managers?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa types for Program Manager positions, including H-1B, H-1B1 (for Chilean and Singaporean nationals), E-3 (for Australian citizens), TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in qualifying academic programs. Immigrant petition pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 are also supported for longer-term sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and career stage.
What qualifications and experience does DoorDash expect for Program Manager roles?
DoorDash Program Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field, though many senior roles favor candidates with an MBA or equivalent experience. Beyond credentials, DoorDash prioritizes candidates who've managed cross-functional programs in high-growth or marketplace environments, can communicate technical tradeoffs to nontechnical stakeholders, and have demonstrated ownership of complex initiatives from scoping through launch.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at DoorDash?
You can browse and apply for Program Manager openings directly through DoorDash's careers site, or use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa sponsorship category so you're targeting positions where your authorization type is already supported. Before applying, confirm whether the role is listed under product operations, merchant, logistics, or consumer, since each vertical has different team structures and interview formats at DoorDash.
How do I navigate the timeline from offer to visa filing at DoorDash?
Once you receive an offer, DoorDash's HR team coordinates with outside immigration counsel to begin your petition. For H-1B cap-subject cases, this process must align with the USCIS registration window each March. For E-3 or TN, the timeline is shorter since no lottery applies, but you'll still need a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before your consular appointment or change-of-status filing can proceed.
