Frame your PM credentials around product delivery
Figma evaluates Project Managers on their ability to ship complex, cross-functional software initiatives. Tailor your resume and portfolio to show ownership of product launches, not just coordination tasks, before you apply.
Target roles across Figma's platform verticals
Figma posts Project Manager roles across enterprise growth, developer platform, and design infrastructure. Applying to openings aligned with your domain experience gives you a sharper narrative during interviews and strengthens the specialty occupation case for your visa petition.
Verify your visa type before accepting an offer
Figma sponsors multiple nonimmigrant categories including H-1B, E-3, and H-1B1. If you're Australian or a Singapore or Chilean national, confirm with the recruiter early whether they'll file under your eligible treaty visa rather than defaulting to H-1B.
Understand how LCA timing affects your start date
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your visa petition goes to USCIS. At a company like Figma, this process typically runs on a predictable HR cycle, so ask your recruiter for the expected filing timeline before locking in a resignation date.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open PM roles by visa type
Not every Project Manager listing at Figma is open to visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter Figma's current openings by the visa category you need, so you're only spending time on roles where sponsorship is confirmed.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Project Manager roles at a software company like Figma typically require a degree in a business, engineering, or technical field to satisfy the specialty occupation standard. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation completed before you receive an offer.

Find Project Manager at Figma JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Figma sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Figma sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The company has an established sponsorship process for this function and works with immigration counsel to file petitions through the annual H-1B cap lottery, which runs each spring for an October 1 start. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer is also possible without waiting for the next lottery cycle.
Which visa types does Figma commonly sponsor for Project Manager roles?
Figma sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Project Managers. It also supports F-1 OPT, which gives recent graduates up to 12 months of work authorization, with a 24-month STEM extension available if your degree qualifies. If you're Australian, the E-3 is worth discussing explicitly with your recruiter since it bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely.
What qualifications does Figma expect for sponsored Project Manager roles?
Figma's Project Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, computer science, or engineering, combined with experience delivering technical or product initiatives at a software company. For visa purposes, the role must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, which means the position requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional software projects strengthens both your candidacy and the underlying visa petition.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Figma?
Applications go through Figma's careers site, where Project Manager roles are posted across product, platform, and enterprise teams. Before applying, use Migrate Mate to identify which open roles are confirmed for visa sponsorship so you're not spending time on positions that won't support your situation. Tailor your application to show direct experience managing complex software delivery, since Figma's hiring process emphasizes cross-functional ownership and technical fluency.
How do I think about timing when targeting a sponsored PM role at Figma?
If you need an H-1B, the annual cap registration opens in March for an October 1 start date, which means you'd need an offer in place by late February at the latest. E-3 and H-1B1 visas have no lottery and can be filed year-round, offering more scheduling flexibility. F-1 OPT holders can start immediately and trigger the H-1B process during their OPT period. Building your timeline backward from these USCIS deadlines helps you target Figma's hiring windows accurately.
