Role Overview
The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for assessing, developing, and driving enterprise strategies to manage risk associated with critical and constrained materials impacted by legislative, environmental, and geopolitical forces. This role combines program leadership with hands‑on stakeholder engagement, translating complex market and supply chain dynamics into actionable strategies, visibility, and decision support for cross‑divisional leadership.
For purposes of this role, Rare Earth Elements (REEs) and Critical Metals refer to materials essential to KLA products and operations that face elevated supply risk due to geopolitical, regulatory, environmental, or market constraints.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, requiring strong cross‑functional leadership and influence across a matrixed organization.
Specific Responsibilities and Desired Skills
- Maintain deep expertise in critical minerals and constrained materials markets, continuously synthesizing supply, demand, regulatory, and geopolitical dynamics into concise, executive‑ready insights for leadership.
- Engage externally with suppliers, industry consortia, and relevant third‑party organizations to monitor emerging risks, validate market intelligence, and inform constrained materials strategies.
- Continuously assess enterprise risk across identified and emerging critical minerals and constrained materials, translating findings into standardized dashboards that enable enterprise visibility and informed decision‑making.
- Prepare and present executive‑ready materials for senior leadership forums, including steering committees and executive reviews, to support strategic decisions related to constrained materials risk.
- Perform “where‑used” analysis across global products and supply chains to identify internal exposure and potential points of vulnerability.
- Lead the development and execution of constrained materials strategies informed by market realities, regulatory developments, and geopolitical tensions, ensuring timely and action‑driven risk mitigation.
- Lead complex, cross‑functional projects with rigor and discipline, driving execution, milestones, and accountability to deliver strategic objectives.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, ESG, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and execution of constrained materials strategies.
- Navigate ambiguity and drive change in complex, uncertain, and rapidly evolving environments.
- Ability to project manage other supply chain risk initiatives on an as needed basis.
- Provide ongoing insights informed by market trends and third‑party intelligence platforms that may impact the supply chain, particularly in areas of geopolitical and emerging legislative risk.
- Hold cross‑functional stakeholders accountable to agreed‑upon program commitments, milestones, and deliverables.
- For projects and initiatives with varying risk profiles, define scope, timelines, team structure, deliverables, resource requirements, and budgets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Materials Science, Mining, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or MS) and demonstrated experience in critical minerals, rare earth elements, or constrained materials supply ecosystems strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, engineering, materials science, or related technical teams, with demonstrated exposure to constrained materials or complex, high‑risk supply ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics, including capacity risk, supplier financial health, geopolitical exposure, supply chain mapping, regulatory requirements, and operational resilience.
- Working knowledge of global regulatory, trade, ESG, and sustainability risk factors impacting complex, multi‑tier supply networks.
- Ability to travel, as the need arises, up to 20% of the time.
- PMP or equivalent program management certification preferred.

Frame your PM credentials around process control
KLA's Program Manager roles frequently involve equipment qualification, yield improvement, and cross-site coordination. Tailor your resume to highlight manufacturing lifecycle experience, not just project delivery. Align your credentials to the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies to H-1B petitions.
Target KLA's equipment and process divisions first
KLA hires Program Managers across inspection, metrology, and service divisions. Roles tied to product lines with active customer engagements move faster through headcount approval. Focusing your applications on these divisions improves your odds of landing a role with active sponsorship budget.
Search open Program Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter KLA's open Program Manager positions by visa type before applying. This saves time by surfacing only roles where sponsorship is confirmed, so you're not chasing positions that won't support your status.
Understand how DOL prevailing wage affects your offer
Before your offer is finalized, KLA's HR team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL certifying your wage meets the prevailing level for your role and work location. If your offered salary sits at the lower wage level, negotiating upward before LCA filing reduces the risk of a wage-related RFE.
Prepare for PERM if your goal is permanent residency
KLA sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Program Managers, but PERM recruitment requires documented proof that no qualified U.S. worker was available. Keep records of every job search step during this period, as USCIS and DOL both audit PERM compliance carefully.

Find Program Manager at KLA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KLA sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, KLA sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company operates in semiconductor equipment manufacturing, a field where specialty occupation status is well-established for project and program management functions tied to engineering-intensive work. Your application should demonstrate that the role requires a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, which is the core H-1B eligibility threshold USCIS evaluates.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at KLA?
Apply directly through KLA's careers portal, where Program Manager postings are listed by division and location. To find roles specifically filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility, browse KLA's open Program Manager positions on Migrate Mate, which surfaces only sponsored opportunities. Before applying, confirm your target division aligns with your background in manufacturing, process engineering, or equipment qualification, since KLA's hiring teams assess domain fit early.
Which visa types does KLA commonly use for Program Manager roles?
KLA sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Program Managers, as well as EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for longer-term hires. H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant route for full-time roles. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying categories. F-1 OPT is frequently used as a bridge while an H-1B petition is pending.
What qualifications does KLA expect for sponsored Program Manager roles?
KLA's Program Manager roles in manufacturing typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a closely related technical field, often with several years of experience in semiconductor equipment, process integration, or yield management. Cross-functional coordination skills matter, but technical depth in KLA's core product areas such as inspection or metrology is often what differentiates candidates who move through the interview process quickly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at KLA?
H-1B registration opens in March each year, with USCIS selecting registrations by lottery before April 1. If selected, your petition is filed for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, your authorization needs to cover the gap until October 1 or you'll need a cap-gap extension. Starting your job search at KLA by late 2025 for a 2026 filing gives you the most realistic runway.
