Frame your credentials around consulting deliverables
BCG evaluates Program Managers on their ability to drive structured project outcomes, not just coordinate tasks. Translate your experience into measurable consulting language: workstream ownership, stakeholder alignment, and delivery milestones on client-facing engagements.
Target BCG offices with active client portfolios
BCG hires Program Managers against specific practice areas and client pipelines. Roles tied to active industry verticals fill faster. Research which offices have live postings in your domain and apply directly to those locations rather than submitting broadly.
Understand which visa category fits your situation
BCG sponsors multiple visa types for Program Managers, including H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1. Each has different eligibility rules, caps, and timelines. Confirm which category applies to your nationality and current status before your offer conversation begins.
Clarify sponsorship scope during offer negotiation
BCG's immigration support varies by employment type and seniority. Before signing, confirm in writing whether your offer includes full visa sponsorship, what the timeline looks like for your specific category, and whether USCIS premium processing is available.
Align your start date with H-1B cap realities
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Build this into your offer timeline with BCG's recruiting team so your start date reflects the actual filing window, not an optimistic assumption.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Program Manager roles at BCG
BCG posts Program Manager openings across multiple practice areas and offices simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter BCG roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify which active postings align with your immigration category before applying.

Does Boston Consulting Group sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, BCG sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. BCG is a well-established H-1B sponsor with a consistent history of filing petitions for this function. If you require H-1B sponsorship, confirm eligibility during the offer stage, and factor in the April USCIS registration lottery if you need a cap-subject petition.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Boston Consulting Group?
Apply directly through BCG's careers portal, targeting openings that match your practice area and seniority. Program Manager roles at BCG often require demonstrated experience managing cross-functional workstreams in professional services or client-facing environments. You can also browse BCG's open Program Manager positions filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate before applying.
Which visa types does Boston Consulting Group sponsor for Program Manager roles?
BCG sponsors several visa categories for Program Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 (for Chilean and Singaporean nationals), E-3 (for Australian citizens), TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA), and F-1 OPT and CPT for students on academic authorization. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current immigration status.
What qualifications does BCG expect for Program Manager candidates requiring visa sponsorship?
BCG typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or a related discipline, along with proven experience managing complex projects in a structured environment. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Consulting-sector experience or exposure to client delivery frameworks strengthens your application significantly.
How do I plan my timeline if BCG offers me a Program Manager role with visa sponsorship?
Timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and TN visas can often be arranged in weeks, while a cap-subject H-1B requires USCIS registration in March with an October 1 start date. BCG's in-house immigration team typically coordinates with outside counsel, but you should proactively ask about processing timelines, premium processing availability, and whether your start date needs to align with a filing window.
