Frame your PM credentials around Bloomberg's product scope
Bloomberg's Program Manager roles span enterprise software, financial data infrastructure, and internal platform development. Tailor your resume to show delivery experience on technical, multi-team programs, not just project coordination. Hiring managers here distinguish between coordinators and true program owners.
Target open roles aligned with active LCA filings
Bloomberg files Labor Condition Applications with DOL before sponsoring any work visa. Roles with active LCA filings signal genuine sponsorship intent. Prioritize applying to positions where the job description explicitly mentions visa sponsorship eligibility rather than assuming all openings qualify.
Clarify sponsorship scope before the offer stage
Bloomberg sponsors multiple visa types for Program Managers, including H-1B and E-3. Ask your recruiter early which pathways are available for your specific role level and nationality, so there are no surprises during the offer negotiation or I-129 preparation process.
Prepare for H-1B cap timing if you're currently on OPT
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, Bloomberg must file your H-1B petition by April 1 for an October 1 start. Plan your job search timeline backward from that window. A gap between OPT expiration and H-1B activation may require cap-gap protection to stay authorized.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Bloomberg PM roles by visa type
Bloomberg posts Program Manager openings across multiple teams simultaneously, making it hard to identify which roles are sponsorship-eligible. Use Migrate Mate to filter Bloomberg listings by supported visa category so you apply only where your status aligns.
Build internal advocates before USCIS petition filing begins
Bloomberg's sponsorship process involves legal, HR, and the hiring team working together on your I-129 petition. Program Managers who have already built rapport with their direct manager and skip-level are better positioned to move quickly through internal approvals when the filing window opens.

Does Bloomberg sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Bloomberg sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has a consistent track record of supporting visa sponsorship for this function across its technology and data divisions. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, Bloomberg's legal team coordinates the I-129 petition filing with USCIS on your behalf, typically aligned to the April 1 filing window for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Bloomberg?
Apply directly through Bloomberg's careers portal, where Program Manager roles are listed by team and location. Each listing specifies whether visa sponsorship is available. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse Bloomberg's open Program Manager positions filtered by visa type, which helps you identify sponsorship-eligible roles before investing time in a full application.
Which visa types does Bloomberg commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
Bloomberg sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Program Managers, as well as employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. Australian citizens should specifically ask about the E-3 route, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. The visa type used will depend on your nationality, current status, and the specific role level you're hired into.
What qualifications does Bloomberg expect for sponsored Program Manager roles?
Bloomberg Program Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field, and several years of hands-on experience managing cross-functional software or data programs. Familiarity with Agile or scaled delivery frameworks is common across postings. Roles tied to financial data infrastructure may also expect domain knowledge of capital markets or enterprise systems.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Bloomberg for a Program Manager hire?
The timeline depends on your visa type. H-1B petitions filed in April typically take three to six months for standard USCIS processing, or two to four weeks with premium processing. E-3 applications processed at a U.S. consulate abroad can move faster, often within weeks of document submission. Bloomberg's immigration legal team guides you through each stage, but you should plan for at least a one to two month internal preparation period before USCIS or consular filing begins.
