Align Your Portfolio to Qualcomm's Roadmap
Qualcomm's Director-level PM roles emphasize platform strategy across connectivity, compute, and media chipsets. Frame your portfolio around cross-functional product ownership at scale, not just feature delivery, to match what hiring managers are screening for.
Verify Your LCA Before Negotiating Compensation
Qualcomm files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition moves forward. Understand that your offered salary must meet the prevailing wage for your worksite location, which directly affects how compensation is structured in the offer stage.
Target Roles Tied to Qualcomm's Media Partnerships
Qualcomm's media and entertainment work spans streaming, gaming, and XR platform integrations. Director PM openings tied to these verticals often require OEM or platform ecosystem experience, so surface that background explicitly in your resume and interview framing.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Openings
Search Qualcomm's Director, Product Management listings directly on Migrate Mate to find roles where visa sponsorship has been confirmed. This saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering sponsorship eligibility late in the process.
Prepare Your Degree Equivalency Documentation Early
H-1B specialty occupation requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. If your credentials are from outside the U.S., gather official transcripts and a credential evaluation before your employer files the I-129 petition with USCIS to avoid processing delays.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Ask Qualcomm's recruiting team whether sponsorship covers H-1B transfer only or includes future Green Card support through PERM. Director-level hires at large employers often have defined pathways, but terms vary by business unit and should be confirmed in writing before you sign.

Find Director, Product Management at Qualcomm JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Qualcomm sponsor H-1B visas for Director, Product Managements?
Yes, Qualcomm sponsors H-1B visas for Director, Product Management roles. The company is a registered H-1B employer and regularly files petitions for senior technical and product leadership positions. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Qualcomm can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start working as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
How do I apply for Director, Product Management jobs at Qualcomm?
Apply directly through Qualcomm's careers portal or browse verified openings with sponsorship confirmed on Migrate Mate. Director-level PM roles at Qualcomm typically move through a multi-round process covering product strategy, cross-functional leadership, and technical depth in areas like connectivity or media platforms. Tailoring your application to the specific business unit significantly improves your chances of clearing the initial screen.
Which visa types does Qualcomm commonly use for Director, Product Management roles?
Qualcomm sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas, along with immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 through PERM. For Director-level hires, H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant route. Candidates with advanced degrees may also be evaluated for EB-2 National Interest Waiver eligibility, though employer-sponsored PERM is the more typical Green Card path at this level.
What qualifications does Qualcomm expect for Director, Product Management positions?
Qualcomm generally looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, with a master's or MBA viewed favorably at the Director level. Relevant experience includes leading product strategy for hardware or software platforms, managing cross-functional teams, and working within semiconductor, media, or connected device ecosystems. Demonstrated ownership of full product lifecycle from roadmap to commercial launch is a consistent expectation across these roles.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Director role at Qualcomm?
After an offer is accepted, Qualcomm's immigration team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which is typically certified within seven business days. The H-1B petition is then filed with USCIS, with standard processing taking three to six months. Premium processing reduces that to around 15 business days. If you're transitioning from OPT or CPT, confirm your authorization end date with Qualcomm's HR team early so filing timelines are coordinated correctly.
