At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.
Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission.
Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.
The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a builder - someone who loves solving hard operational problems with code, data, and product intuition. You are right for this role if you’re someone who can take an operational workflow, inspect the data, understand the business logic, build and modify tools, evaluate outcomes and ship measurable improvements. Part consultant, part product thinker, part data analyst, you’ll help us automate and scale traditionally manual workflows that underpin healthcare operations - from claim submissions to payment posting.
This role sits at the intersection of product, data, and implementation. You’ll design, test, and operationalize automations across our stack, work hands-on with Product, Engineering teams, and our customers to map and rebuild their workflows, and create systems that scale. You’ll be accountable for outcomes - building the infrastructure, tools, and processes that let our teams and our clients move faster and smarter.
We want people who are excellent operators, strong problem solvers, and comfortable building from scratch.
At Commure, there are no speed limits in your growth. If you show ownership and deliver results, your responsibilities - and impact - will grow rapidly. We value people who move fast, think deeply, take pride in solid execution, and deliver results for our customers.
This full-time position requires working 5 days a week in our Mountain View, CA office.
- Own high-impact processes: Own one or more automation surfaces end-to-end: instrumentation, workflow mapping, SQL/data analysis, tool changes, experiment evaluation, rollout, monitoring, and post-launch debugging.
- Design and automate workflows: Use SQL, APIs, scripts, and emerging tools (including LLMs and harnesses) to automate manual claim-related workflows and improve scalability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Account Management to influence roadmap priorities and scale successful solutions.
- Analyze and optimize: Build dashboards and reporting pipelines to monitor productivity, quality, and financial outcomes; identify bottlenecks and automate fixes.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in operations, consulting, or data-heavy roles at a tech company or fast-paced startup.
- Strong SQL fluency - comfortable querying, analyzing, and structuring data to drive insights and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and systems-thinking skills; able to diagnose root causes and design scalable solutions.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects end-to-end, working autonomously in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Bonus: Experience with AI Automation Infrastructure, such as:
- Prompt Iteration
- Evaluations
- Failure Analysis
- Agent Workflows
- Hallucination / Leakage / Overfitting Risks
- Human-in-the-Loop Design
- Confidence Thresholds
- Auditability
- Production Monitoring
- Bonus: Experience in healthcare operations, claims, or billing systems.
- Bonus: Experience building or integrating workflows via APIs, Python, or web automation tools (Zapier, Retool, custom scripts, etc.).
- Bonus: Experience with agentic workflow development, building orchestration scripts and validation scripts, and working with the cloud.
Who You Are
- You investigate metric drops relentlessly until you've identified a root cause.
- You validate dashboard queries before trusting the output.
- You work comfortably with raw logs, database records, and edge cases.
- You translate domain expert knowledge into scalable automation.
- You apply rigorous critical thinking to LLM outputs and build appropriate guardrails.
- You ship useful tools early and iterate rather than over-engineer a perfect design doc.

Frame your degree for specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility for Business Manager roles requires your position to qualify as a specialty occupation. Prepare documentation showing your degree is directly relevant to the role's core functions, not just generally related to business.
Target Commure's operational and strategy teams
Commure hires Business Managers into cross-functional roles spanning product operations, revenue, and partnerships. Tailor your application to the specific business unit rather than applying broadly, this signals fit with their health technology operating model.
Start OPT conversations before your authorization expires
If you're on F-1 OPT, Commure's willingness to sponsor the H-1B cap-gap is not guaranteed. Confirm the company's intent to file an H-1B petition before April 1 so your employment stays continuous through the October 1 start date.
Verify Commure's LCA filings through DOL
Before your interview, search the DOL's public OFLC disclosure data for Commure's Labor Condition Application filings for Business Manager titles. This confirms the prevailing wage levels the company has committed to for this role category.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Business Manager roles
Not every Business Manager listing at Commure explicitly states visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter Commure's active openings by visa type so you apply only to roles where sponsorship is confirmed upfront.
Align your PERM timeline with Commure's filing cycle
If you're targeting EB-2 or EB-3 permanent residence, the PERM labor certification process typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition. Raise Green Card sponsorship intentions during offer negotiation, not after you've signed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Commure sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, Commure sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. The company has a consistent track record of supporting work visa petitions in this function across its health technology operations. Because H-1B approval depends on USCIS determining the role meets specialty occupation standards, your application materials should clearly connect your degree field to the specific responsibilities of the position.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Commure?
You can find and apply to Business Manager openings at Commure directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters Commure's listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Tailor your resume to reflect cross-functional operations experience relevant to health technology, and address visa sponsorship needs in your initial outreach to the recruiting team.
Which visa types does Commure commonly use for Business Manager roles?
Commure sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Business Managers, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates in the early stages of their U.S. work authorization. For candidates seeking permanent residence, Commure has filed under EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which involve the PERM labor certification process through DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition. TN visa status is also supported for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals.
What qualifications does Commure expect for Business Manager roles?
Commure's Business Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, operations, finance, or a closely related field, along with experience managing cross-functional initiatives in a technology environment. Because these roles sit at the intersection of strategy and execution within a health technology company, candidates who can demonstrate familiarity with software product cycles or healthcare operations workflows tend to progress further in the hiring process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Commure?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with a lottery selection in late March and petitions filed for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you'll need Commure to commit to filing before April 1 to preserve cap-gap work authorization. Build that conversation into your offer negotiation, and confirm with USCIS resources or your immigration attorney whether your OPT end date creates any gap risk.
