Frame Your Resume Around Operational Metrics
DoorDash ops roles are heavily data-driven. Quantify process improvements, cost savings, and throughput gains from past roles. Hiring managers in tech-sector operations prioritize candidates who can show measurable impact, not just task ownership.
Target Roles Tied to Core Delivery Infrastructure
DoorDash regularly hires Operations Specialists for merchant, dasher, and logistics verticals. Roles embedded in these core revenue functions are more likely to move through headcount approval quickly, which directly affects how fast sponsorship paperwork can begin.
Browse Open Positions Through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Operations Specialist openings at DoorDash by visa type. This saves time by surfacing only roles where DoorDash has confirmed sponsorship history for your specific visa category, so you can apply with confidence.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During Recruiter Screens
In early recruiter conversations, ask whether the role supports both initial visa filing and future PERM-based Green Card sponsorship. Some DoorDash operations roles qualify for employer-sponsored permanent residence, and confirming this upfront saves you from surprises post-offer.
Align Your Start Date With H-1B Cap Timelines
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March with an October 1 start date if selected. Confirm with your DoorDash recruiter early whether the role timeline accommodates this, or whether OPT or a cap-exempt filing can bridge the gap.
Prepare a Specialty Occupation Justification for Your Degree
H-1B and E-3 petitions for operations roles require demonstrating specialty occupation status. Prepare documentation showing your degree field directly applies to the analytical and systems-based scope of the DoorDash role, not just general business administration.

Find Operations Specialist at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Specialists?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Operations Specialist roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its analytical and systems-intensive requirements. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing your application around USCIS's March registration window is essential. DoorDash also has a history of supporting H-1B transfers for candidates already holding valid H-1B status with another employer.
How do I apply for Operations Specialist jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers portal. Tailor your materials to highlight cross-functional project experience, data analysis, and process optimization work. Migrate Mate is a good starting point if you want to browse Operations Specialist openings at DoorDash filtered by visa sponsorship type before applying directly through the company's official site.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Operations Specialists?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa types for this function, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for current students, and J-1. Employer-sponsored Green Card pathways through EB-2 or EB-3 PERM are also available for longer-term employees in qualifying roles.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Operations Specialist roles?
DoorDash typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, or a related analytical field. Practical experience in operations, supply chain, or process improvement is valued, particularly in fast-paced, technology-driven environments. Proficiency with data tools like SQL or Excel, and familiarity with cross-functional stakeholder management, are commonly expected at the specialist level.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after a DoorDash offer?
Timeline depends on visa type. F-1 OPT and TN sponsorship can move within weeks of an offer. H-1B transfers for existing holders can be filed quickly, with work authorization starting upon USCIS receipt. New cap-subject H-1B petitions require waiting for the next October 1 start date. PERM-based Green Card filings involve DOL processing and typically take one to three years from initial filing.
