About the Team
DoorDash for Business is building the premier corporate dining and benefits platform—helping companies of all sizes feed their teams through industry-leading products and meal programs. Our mission is to become the go-to solution for executives, administrators, and employees who need seamless, high-quality food programs at work. We move fast, operate with an ownership mindset, and are growing new product lines to better serve our corporate customers.
About the Role
At DoorDash for Business, we believe that the reliability and quality of our service is our competitive advantage, and we are looking for a leader who is passionate about digging into the data to root cause operations and delivery problems in order to create a seamless experience for customers and merchants alike. As an Associate for the Catering team, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving delivery quality, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, support new delivery models, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of quality improvement strategies.
Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational. You can one day be sizing the impact of new delivery models on quality improvements, then leading an experiment to drive real-world improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by building from the ground up, comfortable operating with ambiguity, and excited to shape how two high-priority product lines grow.
You will report into the Manager, Strategy & Operations for DoorDash for Business and can work remotely or hybrid depending preference.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own quality improvement workstreams: that address the most unique and challenging questions within two new high-stakes DoorDash for Business product lines
- Run experiments and operations tests: assist in structuring and executing operational tests to identify solutions for improving on-time delivery and setup quality
- Support execution at scale: after proving out a concept, translating the wins into scalable solutions that we can apply across the entire network.
- Drive analytical rigor: by building and owning models that track initiative success, key quality metrics, weekly and annual costs, and support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor network performance.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships: by regularly partnering with Logistics, LiveOps, Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams to build quarterly roadmaps, scope and assess initiatives that can improve the quality of our logistics system
We're excited about you because…
- You're strategic and process-oriented – You can break down challenging problems, build hypotheses supported by data, and implement experiments while keeping our teams aligned and informed with your work.
- You're highly analytical – You are fluent in data and modeling (Excel, SQL, Python, Sigma, or network modeling tools) and use it to ground your decisions.
- You thrive in scaling environments – You're comfortable operating with ambiguity and building solutions in uncharted territory.
- You're cross-functional – You've led initiatives that align operations, product, and finance around a shared strategy.

Frame your experience around operational impact
DoorDash Business Operations roles prioritize candidates who can show measurable improvements to processes, not just participation in them. Before applying, document specific outcomes you drove, such as cost reductions, efficiency gains, or market expansion results.
Target roles with SQL and analytics requirements
DoorDash Business Operations Associate postings frequently require hands-on data analysis, not just familiarity with it. Applicants who can demonstrate proficiency in SQL and tools like Looker or Tableau tend to advance further in the hiring process.
Confirm your visa type before your first interview
DoorDash sponsors multiple visa categories for this role, including H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT. Knowing exactly which category applies to you lets you answer recruiter questions about authorization accurately and avoid delays once an offer is extended.
Start OPT paperwork well before your offer deadline
If you're on F-1 OPT, request your EAD from your DSO as early as possible. USCIS recommends filing at least 90 days before your program end date, and DoorDash's onboarding timelines may not flex around late authorization requests.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified DoorDash openings
Sponsorship-eligible Business Operations Associate positions at DoorDash aren't always easy to identify from general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified DoorDash roles by visa type so you're only applying to positions where your work authorization status is confirmed.
Align your offer timing with H-1B cap deadlines
H-1B registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. If your offer arrives in late spring or summer, your employer must file in the following cycle, leaving a gap of up to 12 months. Discuss bridging options like H-1B1 or OPT cap-gap with your DoorDash recruiter early.

Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations Associates?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations Associate roles. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for this function across multiple hiring cycles. Because H-1B sponsorship requires USCIS approval and cap-subject filings depend on lottery selection, you should discuss your timeline with DoorDash's recruiting team before accepting an offer to confirm start date feasibility.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Business Operations Associate roles?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for Business Operations Associates, including H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and EB-2/EB-3 immigrant visas. Australian and Canadian or Mexican nationals often find the E-3 and TN pathways faster and more predictable than the H-1B lottery. Immigrant visa sponsorship typically becomes available after you've been in the role for a period of time.
What qualifications are expected for Business Operations Associate roles at DoorDash?
DoorDash typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a quantitative field, combined with strong analytical skills. Hands-on experience with data tools like SQL or Python is frequently listed as a requirement rather than a preference. Prior internship or full-time experience in operations, consulting, or strategy at a technology or consumer company strengthens your application significantly.
How do I apply for Business Operations Associate jobs at DoorDash?
You can browse and apply for Business Operations Associate openings at DoorDash directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship so you can identify positions where your work authorization is already accounted for. DoorDash's hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, a case-style or analytical assessment, and multiple rounds of behavioral and functional interviews before an offer is extended.
How do I manage the timing between a DoorDash offer and my visa filing?
Timing depends heavily on your visa category. F-1 OPT holders need an active EAD before their start date, so confirm your authorization window aligns with DoorDash's onboarding schedule. H-1B petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start, so offers extended outside that window may require a deferred start or a bridge status. Raise your authorization timeline with the recruiter as early as the offer stage, not after.
