Frame your metrics in DoorDash's language
Sales Strategy at DoorDash means owning revenue targets, building go-to-market models, and partnering cross-functionally with ops and product. Translate your experience into those terms before applying so your resume clears the initial screen.
Target roles tied to specific verticals
DoorDash's Sales Strategy org is organized around verticals like restaurant, grocery, and advertising. Roles scoped to a specific vertical are often more focused in their sponsorship approvals, so applying within your domain expertise strengthens both the business and immigration case.
Prepare a degree-to-role alignment document
USCIS requires that your degree field directly supports the specialty occupation. For Sales Strategy roles, a degree in business, economics, finance, or a quantitative field typically satisfies this. Having a one-page summary ready accelerates the H-1B petition review.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active openings by visa type
DoorDash posts Sales Strategy Manager roles across multiple levels and verticals, and openings turn over frequently. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for DoorDash roles that align with your visa category so you're not applying to positions the team can't sponsor.

Find Sales Strategy Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Strategy Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Strategy Manager roles. The company works with legal counsel to file both cap-subject and cap-exempt petitions depending on the applicant's situation. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, DoorDash can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly use for Sales Strategy Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors a broad range of visa types for this function, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1, and EB-2 or EB-3 for permanent residence pathways. The right category depends on your nationality, current immigration status, and career timeline.
How do I apply for Sales Strategy Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers portal. The interview process for Sales Strategy roles typically includes a recruiter screen, a case-style analytical exercise, and multiple rounds with cross-functional stakeholders. You can also browse open Sales Strategy Manager positions at DoorDash filtered by visa type using Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where sponsorship is available for your specific situation.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for a Sales Strategy Manager?
DoorDash generally looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related quantitative field, along with several years of experience in sales strategy, go-to-market planning, or management consulting. Strong SQL or data modeling skills are frequently listed as requirements. Experience working in high-growth technology or marketplace environments is a common differentiator at the manager level.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and DoorDash's hiring process?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting a cap-subject H-1B through DoorDash, you'll need a job offer in place before the registration window. DoorDash has experience structuring offers with contingent start dates to accommodate this timeline, so raising the H-1B cap schedule early in your recruiter conversation helps both sides plan accordingly.
