About the Team
DoorDash for Business is building the premier corporate dining and benefits platform—helping companies of all sizes feed their teams through industry-leading products and meal programs. Our mission is to become the go-to solution for executives, administrators, and employees who need seamless, high-quality food programs at work. We move fast, operate with an ownership mindset, and are growing new product lines to better serve our corporate customers.
About the Role
At DoorDash for Business, we believe that the reliability and quality of our service is our competitive advantage, and we are looking for a leader who is passionate about digging into the data to root cause operations and delivery problems in order to create a seamless experience for customers and merchants alike. As an Associate for the Catering team, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving delivery quality, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, support new delivery models, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of quality improvement strategies.
Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational. You can one day be sizing the impact of new delivery models on quality improvements, then leading an experiment to drive real-world improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by building from the ground up, comfortable operating with ambiguity, and excited to shape how two high-priority product lines grow.
You will report into the Manager, Strategy & Operations for DoorDash for Business and can work remotely or hybrid depending preference.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own quality improvement workstreams: that address the most unique and challenging questions within two new high-stakes DoorDash for Business product lines
- Run experiments and operations tests: assist in structuring and executing operational tests to identify solutions for improving on-time delivery and setup quality
- Support execution at scale: after proving out a concept, translating the wins into scalable solutions that we can apply across the entire network.
- Drive analytical rigor: by building and owning models that track initiative success, key quality metrics, weekly and annual costs, and support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor network performance.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships: by regularly partnering with Logistics, LiveOps, Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams to build quarterly roadmaps, scope and assess initiatives that can improve the quality of our logistics system
We're excited about you because…
- You're strategic and process-oriented – You can break down challenging problems, build hypotheses supported by data, and implement experiments while keeping our teams aligned and informed with your work.
- You're highly analytical – You are fluent in data and modeling (Excel, SQL, Python, Sigma, or network modeling tools) and use it to ground your decisions.
- You thrive in scaling environments – You're comfortable operating with ambiguity and building solutions in uncharted territory.
- You're cross-functional – You've led initiatives that align operations, product, and finance around a shared strategy.

Frame Your Credentials Around Operational Impact
DoorDash Strategy & Biz Ops roles expect candidates who can own end-to-end analysis and drive cross-functional decisions. Quantify how your past work shaped product, growth, or efficiency outcomes, not just how you supported a team.
Target Teams Tied to Core Marketplace Functions
DoorDash's sponsorship activity for this function clusters around its merchant, dasher, and consumer growth verticals. Tailor your applications toward open roles in those business lines, where headcount demand and sponsorship precedent are strongest.
Clarify Your Visa Type Early in Recruiter Screens
Strategy Biz Ops roles at DoorDash span multiple visa categories. State your current status and work authorization timeline in your first recruiter call so the team can route your candidacy correctly before offer-stage complications arise.
Understand How OPT Cap-Gap Affects Your Start Date
If you're on F-1 OPT and waiting for an H-1B decision, the cap-gap rule extends your work authorization through September 30. Confirm your exact OPT expiry with your DSO before accepting a start date, since DoorDash onboarding timelines may not align automatically.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Openings by Sponsorship Type
Strategy Biz Ops roles at DoorDash open and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter current openings by visa category so you're applying to positions where your specific sponsorship need is already a known variable for the hiring team.
Align Your PERM Timeline Expectations With DoorDash's Process
If you're targeting a Green Card pathway through DoorDash, the PERM labor certification process alone typically takes one to two years before USCIS even receives the I-140. Factor that into your long-term planning before accepting an offer contingent on future sponsorship.

Find Strategy Business Operations at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Strategy Business Operations roles?
Yes. DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Strategy Business Operations positions and has a documented track record of doing so across its marketplace and growth teams. Strategy and business operations roles typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, which is the threshold required for H-1B approval. Confirming sponsorship intent with the recruiter early in the process is still the right move, since sponsorship decisions can vary by role level and team.
How do I apply for Strategy Business Operations jobs at DoorDash?
You can browse and apply through DoorDash's careers portal directly or use Migrate Mate to find active openings filtered by visa sponsorship type. Strategy Biz Ops roles at DoorDash typically involve a recruiter screen, a case study or analytical exercise, and multiple cross-functional panel interviews. Tailoring your application to reflect experience in marketplace operations, growth analytics, or merchant strategy will align with what these teams are actively hiring for.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Strategy Business Operations positions?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa types for this function, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, H-1B1 for Singaporean and Chilean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students. For longer-term employment-based immigration, DoorDash also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, though those timelines depend heavily on your country of birth and PERM processing through the Department of Labor.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Strategy Business Operations candidates who need visa sponsorship?
DoorDash's Strategy Biz Ops roles typically require strong analytical skills, comfort with ambiguous problem-solving, and experience working cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment. A bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related quantitative field is standard. Candidates coming from consulting, investment banking, or high-growth tech operations backgrounds tend to be well-positioned. The degree requirement also matters for visa eligibility, particularly for H-1B specialty occupation classification under USCIS guidelines.
How do I time my application if my work authorization is expiring soon?
If your OPT or current visa status expires within the next six months, disclose this to the recruiter at your first screen. DoorDash's HR and immigration teams are experienced with sponsorship transitions, but offer-to-start timelines for Strategy Biz Ops roles can run eight to twelve weeks. H-1B petitions must be filed before October 1 for the relevant fiscal year, so working backward from that date helps you identify when you need an offer in hand.
