Frame experience around operational scale
DoorDash prioritizes candidates who've managed cross-functional projects at scale. Quantify your impact on process efficiency, launch timelines, or cost reduction in your resume before you apply, not after.
Target roles tied to core logistics verticals
DoorDash's Operations Project Manager openings cluster around delivery logistics, merchant partnerships, and new market expansion. Filter your search to these verticals, where sponsorship decisions tend to move faster and hiring pipelines are more active.
Confirm your visa category fits the role level
DoorDash sponsors multiple nonimmigrant categories, including H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1 visa. Match your visa type to the role's seniority level early, since specialty occupation classifications differ between an associate PM and a senior one, and USCIS scrutinizes the fit.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Operations Project Manager roles
DoorDash posts Operations Project Manager openings across multiple job boards, making it easy to miss sponsorship-confirmed listings. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for DoorDash roles that have active visa sponsorship attached to them.
Align your timeline to H-1B cap deadlines
If you're moving from F-1 OPT and need H-1B sponsorship, DoorDash must file your petition in April for an October 1 start date. Secure your offer well before March to give HR enough time to prepare the USCIS filing.
Prepare for DOL Labor Condition Application documentation
For H-1B and E-3 roles, DoorDash's legal team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your petition goes to USCIS. Have your official job title, work location, and duties documented precisely, since LCA errors delay the entire process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Project Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Operations Project Manager roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as operations management, industrial engineering, or business. Your employer initiates the process by filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, then submitting Form I-129 to USCIS on your behalf.
How do I apply for Operations Project Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers site, but sponsorship-confirmed listings are easier to find on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles open to visa holders. Once you identify a relevant opening, tailor your resume to highlight cross-functional project ownership and operational impact at scale, since DoorDash's hiring process for this function is competitive and typically includes multiple rounds.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly use for Operations Project Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, TN visa, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Cards for this role, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. Australian citizens typically pursue the E-3 visa route, Canadians and Mexicans the TN visa, and most other nationalities go through the H-1B cap lottery. Immigrant visa pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 are available for longer-term permanent residence.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Operations Project Manager candidates?
DoorDash generally looks for a bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, business, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience running complex cross-functional projects. Familiarity with marketplace or logistics operations, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder management are common expectations. For visa purposes, your degree must align specifically with the role's defined duties to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I plan my timeline if DoorDash offers me visa sponsorship?
The timeline depends on your visa type. H-1B sponsorship requires a petition filed in April, with employment starting no earlier than October 1. E-3 and TN sponsorship move faster, often within four to eight weeks. Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification adds significant time, often a year or more before priority date becomes current. Clarify the visa type and filing plan with DoorDash's HR team before signing any offer.
