Frame your credentials for retail operations
Ulta's Operations Project Managers oversee supply chain initiatives, store rollouts, and process improvements. Tailor your resume to show direct experience with retail workflows, vendor coordination, or distribution center operations rather than generic project management.
Prioritize roles in Ulta's corporate pipeline
Ulta posts Operations Project Manager openings tied to its Bolingbrook headquarters and field operations teams. Roles attached to corporate initiatives are more likely to move through a formal sponsorship process than short-term store-level project postings.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Ulta sponsors both employment-based Green Card pathways and OPT extensions. Know which category fits your status so you can ask a clear, informed question during the offer stage rather than raising uncertainty with a recruiter who needs straightforward answers.
Understand TN eligibility if you qualify
Canadian and Mexican nationals in a management or engineering discipline may qualify for TN status, which bypasses PERM labor certification entirely. Confirm your job duties map to an approved TN category before your offer letter is drafted.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Ulta's open roles by visa type
Searching for sponsorship-eligible positions across a large retailer's careers page is inefficient. Migrate Mate lets you filter Ulta's Operations Project Manager openings by visa category so you only apply to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Account for PERM timing in your OPT runway
If Ulta pursues an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card for you, the PERM labor certification process alone can take six to twelve months before USCIS even receives your I-140. Factor this into your OPT or cap-gap timeline before accepting an offer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ulta sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Project Managers?
Ulta's primary sponsorship activity for Operations Project Managers runs through employment-based Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, along with OPT and CPT for F-1 students, rather than H-1B visa petitions. If H-1B sponsorship is important to you, raise it directly during the offer stage and confirm the role's eligibility before signing.
How do I apply for Operations Project Manager jobs at Ulta?
You can apply through Ulta's careers portal or browse sponsorship-confirmed openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you're not guessing at eligibility. Focus your application on supply chain experience, cross-functional project delivery, and any retail or beauty industry background, since Ulta weights operational depth heavily for this function.
Which visa types are commonly used for Operations Project Manager roles at Ulta?
Ulta has sponsored Operations Project Managers through EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card pathways, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for students still completing programs. TN visa status is also a viable path for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose job duties align with an approved TN occupation category under USMCA.
What qualifications does Ulta expect for Operations Project Manager candidates seeking sponsorship?
Ulta typically looks for a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, industrial engineering, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience managing operational or logistics projects. Familiarity with retail systems, vendor coordination, or store rollout programs strengthens your candidacy. PMP certification is not always required but signals structured project management fluency.
How do I manage my visa timeline while pursuing a role at Ulta?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorized period before accepting an offer, since PERM and I-140 filings add significant lead time before any Green Card is approved. For EB-3 pathways, USCIS processing can extend well beyond initial estimates. Align your expected start date with your employer early so HR can initiate DOL labor certification without delay.
