Align your resume to DoorDash's sales verticals
DoorDash organizes its sales org around merchants, advertisers, and enterprise accounts. Frame your resume around quota attainment, territory growth, or account expansion in a platform or marketplace context, not just generic B2B experience.
Target roles that map to a specialty occupation
Sales Manager positions at technology companies qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards when they require a specific bachelor's degree, such as business, marketing, or a related field. Verify the job posting explicitly states a degree requirement before applying.
Ask about the LCA filing process during offer negotiations
DoorDash must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying prevailing wage compliance before your H-1B petition can be submitted to USCIS. Confirming your offered salary meets the prevailing wage for your work location prevents delays after you accept the offer.
Factor H-1B cap timing into your job search calendar
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start date. Sales Manager roles often have immediate pipeline needs, so communicate your availability clearly and ask whether the team can hold the role or bridge you on OPT or another status.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
DoorDash posts Sales Manager openings across multiple teams and geographies at the same time. Migrate Mate lets you filter those openings by the visa categories the company sponsors, so you can prioritize roles that match your specific immigration status.

Find Sales Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Managers?
Yes. DoorDash has an established pattern of sponsoring H-1B visas for Sales Manager roles, including both cap-subject petitions and transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. If you're mid-cycle with an active H-1B, a transfer is generally faster than waiting for the next cap season. Confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early, since not every open role is approved for visa support.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Manager roles at DoorDash?
DoorDash sponsors several visa categories for this function. H-1B is the most common route for skilled workers from most countries. Australian citizens can apply under the E-3, which has no lottery and allows faster processing. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status. F-1 OPT and CPT holders can begin work before a full petition is filed, and DoorDash also supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term sponsorship.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for a Sales Manager role?
DoorDash typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience managing a sales team or closing deals in a technology or marketplace environment. Familiarity with data-driven sales processes, CRM tools, and cross-functional collaboration is commonly referenced in their job postings. Enterprise or mid-market account experience tends to be weighted more heavily than SMB background for senior-level openings.
How do I apply for Sales Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers site, where roles are listed by team and location. To find openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, browse DoorDash's Sales Manager listings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where DoorDash has a sponsorship track record. Before your first recruiter screen, prepare to discuss your current visa status, authorization timeline, and whether you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship or a transfer.
How do I time my application to account for visa processing?
Timing depends on your current status. F-1 OPT holders should apply at least several months before their EAD expires, since USCIS H-1B cap registration opens only once a year in March. If you already hold H-1B status, a transfer to DoorDash can happen at any point in the year and takes effect upon USCIS receipt. E-3 and TN applicants have more flexibility since those categories aren't subject to an annual lottery.
