Frame your quota attainment for U.S. roles
Fortinet Sales Manager roles require demonstrable revenue outcomes. Convert your pipeline metrics, deal sizes, and quota attainment percentages into U.S.-style resume language before applying, since hiring managers here evaluate candidates against American enterprise sales benchmarks.
Target Fortinet's channel and MSSP teams
Fortinet heavily recruits Sales Managers with channel partner or managed security service provider experience. Roles tied to the FortiPartner program appear regularly and often align with specialty occupation criteria that strengthen an H-1B petition for a business-degree holder.
Search open Sales Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Fortinet posts Sales Manager openings across multiple regions and segments. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Fortinet roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're only spending time on positions where your work authorization situation is already accounted for.
Clarify sponsorship scope before your final interview
Ask your Fortinet recruiter whether sponsorship covers both the initial H-1B petition and future Green Card support through PERM. Some sales roles qualify for EB-2 based on degree and seniority, and knowing this early shapes how you negotiate your start timeline.
Understand how your OPT STEM extension applies here
Fortinet is enrolled in E-Verify, which is required for F-1 OPT STEM extensions. If you're on a 12-month OPT cap, confirm your role falls under a STEM-eligible classification before your OPT expires, since sales roles with a technical degree can qualify but the job title alone doesn't guarantee it.
Align your H-1B petition timing with Fortinet's fiscal calendar
Fortinet's sales hiring cycles tend to accelerate at the start and midpoint of its fiscal year. Filing your H-1B petition with an October 1 start date means your employer must submit by April 1, so targeting a job offer by February gives your recruiter adequate time to prepare the I-129 with USCIS.

Find Sales Manager at Fortinet JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Fortinet sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Managers?
Yes, Fortinet sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Manager roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation when the role requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field and involves complex enterprise or channel sales. Your degree field and job duties both factor into how USCIS evaluates the petition, so the specific role description matters.
Which visa types does Fortinet commonly use for Sales Manager roles?
Fortinet sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Sales Managers, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active degree programs. For longer-term immigration, Fortinet has a track record of filing EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card cases through the PERM labor certification process for sales professionals who advance into senior or strategic roles.
How do I apply for Sales Manager jobs at Fortinet?
Apply directly through Fortinet's careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse current Sales Manager openings at Fortinet filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your resume to highlight enterprise or channel sales experience, specific verticals like SASE or network security, and measurable revenue outcomes. Fortinet's recruiting process typically includes a recruiter screen, a sales-specific competency interview, and a panel round.
What qualifications does Fortinet expect for Sales Manager roles?
Fortinet generally looks for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a technical field, combined with experience selling cybersecurity or enterprise software solutions. Familiarity with channel partner ecosystems, MSSP relationships, or Fortinet's product lines such as FortiGate or FortiSASE is a practical advantage. For H-1B eligibility purposes, the degree requirement must be directly tied to the job duties.
How do I plan my timeline if Fortinet offers me H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with a lottery, and USCIS only accepts petitions in April for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, Fortinet may be able to start you on OPT or another status while waiting for the next filing cycle. Confirm with your recruiter whether premium processing is available, which can reduce USCIS adjudication time to around 15 business days.
