Target roles that align with Infosys's core delivery model
Infosys primarily sponsors visa holders for technology consulting, software engineering, and IT services roles tied to client projects. Focus your application on positions within these delivery-focused teams, where sponsorship demand is consistently highest.
Understand that Infosys sponsors H-1B and OPT, not Green Cards
Infosys has a strong track record with H-1B and F-1 OPT sponsorship but does not currently sponsor Green Cards. Plan your long-term immigration strategy accordingly before accepting an offer, especially if permanent residency is a priority.
Apply early in the H-1B lottery cycle
As an active H-1B sponsor, Infosys coordinates registrations ahead of the March lottery window. Engaging with their recruitment team in January or February gives you the best chance of being included in that year's filing cycle.
Highlight client-facing and project delivery experience on your resume
Infosys wins business through client engagements, so roles tied to billable delivery get prioritized for sponsorship. Emphasize consulting experience, project ownership, and technical delivery skills that map directly to client work.
Use Migrate Mate to verify which Infosys roles are actively sponsoring
Not every Infosys posting leads to sponsorship, some roles are client-dependent. Browse Infosys openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and avoid wasted applications.
If you're on F-1 OPT, engage Infosys before your OPT clock runs low
Infosys sponsors both F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible for recent graduates. However, the transition from OPT to H-1B requires planning around lottery timing, start conversations with Infosys recruiters well before your OPT authorization expires.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Infosys sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Infosys sponsors H-1B visas and is consistently one of the most active H-1B sponsors in the United States. The company files a high volume of petitions each year, primarily for technology and software professionals placed on client engagements. If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship in the tech sector, Infosys is one of the more accessible large employers to consider.
Which visa types does Infosys sponsor?
Infosys sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas, as well as TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals. The company does not currently sponsor Green Cards, so international employees seeking permanent residency will need to plan a separate pathway. H-1B remains the dominant visa type across Infosys's U.S. workforce.
Which departments or roles at Infosys are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Infosys is concentrated in technology delivery roles, software engineering, IT consulting, systems integration, data analytics, and cloud services. These positions directly support client contracts, which is where Infosys's business model generates revenue. Corporate functions like HR, finance, and marketing are sponsored far less frequently and in smaller volumes.
How do I time my application to Infosys around the H-1B lottery?
The H-1B lottery registration window opens in March each year, with USCIS selecting registrations before April. To be included, you typically need an offer and completed paperwork by late February at the earliest. Start engaging Infosys recruiters in January and confirm they're prepared to file your registration before the window closes.
How do I find open Infosys jobs that include visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search specifically for roles where sponsorship is confirmed, not just listed as a possibility. Migrate Mate aggregates jobs from verified sponsors and lets you filter by company, visa type, and industry, so you can browse Infosys openings and see their sponsorship history in one place without sifting through postings that may not apply to your situation.
