Align your credentials to Deloitte's service lines
Deloitte structures its accounting roles under distinct practices: Audit and Assurance, Tax, and Advisory. Tailor your resume and CPA progress to the specific service line you're targeting, since each has different credential expectations at the same job level.
Time your H-1B application around Deloitte's hiring cycles
Deloitte typically targets start dates that align with the October 1 H-1B cap-subject start date. Securing an offer between January and March gives your employer time to file before the USCIS registration window closes in late March.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Accountant roles at Deloitte
Deloitte posts roles across dozens of locations simultaneously, and visa-eligible openings can disappear quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter Accountant roles at Deloitte by visa type so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship is confirmed.
Prepare for PERM documentation if targeting a Green Card
Deloitte sponsors Green Cards for long-term employees through the PERM labor certification process. DOL requires proof that no qualified U.S. worker was available, so keep records of your role's specialized requirements and any unique qualifications you bring.
Get your academic credentials evaluated before your final interview
For international accounting degrees, Deloitte's immigration team will need a credential evaluation confirming U.S. equivalency, typically a bachelor's in accounting or a related field. Having a NACES-member evaluation ready removes a common bottleneck after the offer stage.

Find Accountant at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Accountants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Accountant roles across its Audit, Tax, and Advisory practices. The company has an established immigration team that manages the full filing process once an offer is extended. Because Deloitte hires at scale, it's experienced with cap-subject H-1B petitions and the USCIS registration process that runs each March.
How do I apply for Accountant jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where roles are listed by service line, location, and experience level. You can also find visa-sponsorship-confirmed Accountant openings at Deloitte through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles open to international candidates. Deloitte recruits heavily from campus pipelines, but experienced hire roles are posted year-round.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Accountant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Accountant positions, covering candidates from most countries as well as Australians and Singaporeans specifically. For longer-term employment, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa petitions through the PERM labor certification process once employees meet tenure and performance thresholds.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for sponsored Accountant roles?
Entry-level Accountant roles at Deloitte typically require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, and progress toward CPA licensure is expected for most audit and tax tracks. Senior roles require active CPA licensure and demonstrated experience in a specific practice area. International degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency before sponsorship paperwork is finalized.
How do I navigate the visa process timeline after receiving a Deloitte offer?
Once Deloitte extends an offer, their internal immigration counsel initiates sponsorship paperwork. For H-1B cap-subject petitions, USCIS registration happens in March with a lottery determination shortly after. E-3 and H-1B1 petitions move faster since they're not lottery-based and can be filed and approved within a few weeks. Build in at least 60 days between your offer and intended start date.
