Align your certifications to Deloitte's practice areas
Deloitte's cloud security hiring maps closely to AWS, Azure, and GCP environments within its Cyber and Strategic Risk practice. Certifications like CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or CISSP signal direct readiness for the engagements Deloitte staffs.
Target roles across federal and commercial tracks
Deloitte operates separate federal and commercial cybersecurity practices with different clearance and sponsorship profiles. Commercial Cloud Security Engineer roles are more accessible for H-1B and E-3 candidates without existing clearances, so filter job searches accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Cloud Security Engineer roles
Deloitte posts Cloud Security Engineer openings across multiple practice groups and locations simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Deloitte that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Confirm specialty occupation framing before your interview
USCIS requires Cloud Security Engineer roles to qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B rules. Ask your Deloitte recruiter whether the role is tied to a specific practice area with a defined degree requirement, which strengthens the petition and reduces RFE risk.
Understand Deloitte's cap-exempt filing options
If you're on OPT or a previous H-1B and Deloitte extends an offer, ask whether the role qualifies for cap-exempt filing through a higher education or nonprofit affiliation. Standard commercial roles go through the annual H-1B lottery, so your application timeline depends on registration outcomes.
Request LCA details before accepting an offer
Before signing, verify that Deloitte's Labor Condition Application reflects the correct work location. Cloud Security Engineers are often deployed to client sites, and a mismatch between the LCA location and your actual worksite is a common compliance issue DOL scrutinizes.

Find Cloud Security Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Security Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Security Engineers in its commercial and cyber risk practices. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like computer science, information security, or engineering. Deloitte participates in the annual H-1B lottery, so timing your offer around the March registration window matters.
How do I apply for Cloud Security Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal or find open Cloud Security Engineer roles with confirmed visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific practice area, whether federal, commercial, or cyber risk, and highlight cloud platform experience and relevant certifications. Deloitte's recruiting process typically includes a technical screen and multiple rounds of interviews.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Cloud Security Engineers?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Cloud Security Engineers, as well as supporting Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-tenured employees. H-1B is the most common path for non-Australian, non-Chilean, and non-Singaporean candidates. Australian citizens should ask specifically about the E-3, which avoids the lottery entirely and allows two-year renewable terms.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Cloud Security Engineer roles?
Deloitte's Cloud Security Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a closely related field, along with hands-on experience securing cloud environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Certifications such as CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or Microsoft Security certifications are commonly referenced in job descriptions. Experience with zero trust architecture, SIEM tools, or compliance frameworks like FedRAMP adds weight to your profile.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Deloitte for this role?
For H-1B, the process runs on an annual cycle: USCIS registration opens in March, selection results follow within weeks, and approved petitions take effect October 1. Premium processing reduces USCIS adjudication to 15 business days after filing. E-3 applicants can move faster since there's no lottery, with consular processing at Australian embassies typically completing within a few weeks of scheduling an appointment.
