ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Total Rewards Benefits Operate Senior Consultant, you will support work by contributing to Health & Welfare (H&W) benefits administration implementations and enabling a smooth transition to ongoing operations. This role is hands-on: gathering and translating requirements, supporting solution design and testing, coordinating with integration and payroll teams, and helping drive operational readiness.

- Document H&W plan rules and administration requirements (e.g., eligibility, enrollment, life events, EoI, deductions, billing, carrier/vendor feeds, reporting).
- Build and maintain key implementation artifacts (requirements traceability, decision logs, RAID logs, status updates, implementation schedules).
- Advise on end-to-end H&W administration capabilities across traditional provider platforms (e.g., enrollment experience, rules engines, eligibility, communications, carrier connectivity).
- Support operational process design (exception handling, case processes, reconciliation, member experience touchpoints).
- Assist with test planning and execution for integrations and deductions (test scenarios, test data, defect triage, results documentation).
- Help identify and escalate risks tied to data quality, timing, and payroll close dependencies.
- Develop or support creation of readiness artifacts (SOP drafts, RACI inputs, escalation paths, training/job aids, service metrics).
- Support hypercare activities: issue tracking, root cause analysis support, communication to stakeholders, and documentation of fixes.
- Partner effectively with client stakeholders across Total Rewards, HR, HRIT, Payroll, Finance, and vendors.
THE TEAM

Align your credentials to a specific practice area
Deloitte's Senior Consultant roles are organized by practice, such as Human Capital, Financial Advisory, or Technology. Tailor your resume and credentials to one practice before applying so hiring managers can immediately see you as billable to their client base.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Senior Consultant roles
Deloitte posts Senior Consultant openings across dozens of metro offices simultaneously, making it hard to track sponsorship-confirmed listings. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter verified sponsoring roles at Deloitte without sorting through positions that don't fit your visa situation.
Ask about staffing model during interviews
At Deloitte, Senior Consultants are typically staffed across multiple client projects. Confirm whether your offer is tied to a specific engagement or a general practice, since project-based roles can affect how your I-129 petition is structured and which worksite addresses appear on the LCA.
Prepare for PERM early if targeting permanent residence
If Deloitte extends an offer with an EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship pathway, the PERM labor certification process at DOL requires proving no qualified U.S. worker is available. This process takes time, so confirm your employer's internal timeline and whether they start PERM concurrently with your H-1B.
Negotiate start date around USCIS processing windows
H-1B cap-subject petitions have an October 1 start date, but Deloitte's fiscal year and client staffing cycles don't always align to that. Discuss premium processing with your recruiting contact early so USCIS adjudicates your I-129 within 15 business days and onboarding isn't delayed.

Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Consultants across its U.S. practices. Deloitte is a well-established H-1B sponsor with a dedicated immigration team that coordinates LCA filings with DOL and I-129 petitions with USCIS. Senior Consultant roles in technology, strategy, and financial advisory are commonly sponsored, though sponsorship is confirmed at the offer stage and depends on practice area and office location.
Which visa types does Deloitte use for Senior Consultant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for eligible Senior Consultants pursuing permanent residence. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and avoids the H-1B lottery. H-1B1 applies to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. The right visa category depends on your nationality, degree, and the role's specialty occupation classification.
What qualifications are expected for a Senior Consultant role at Deloitte?
Deloitte's Senior Consultant roles generally require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, computer science, or finance, and two to five years of professional experience in consulting or a directly related industry. Many roles also expect client-facing experience, project management exposure, and familiarity with the tools specific to a practice area, such as SAP, Salesforce, or financial modeling platforms.
How do I apply for Senior Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
You can browse Senior Consultant openings on Deloitte's careers site, but filtering for visa-sponsoring roles specifically can be time-consuming. Migrate Mate aggregates sponsorship-confirmed listings across Deloitte's practices, so you can identify roles where your visa category is supported before investing time in the application process. Once you've identified a target role, apply directly through Deloitte and follow up with your recruiter to confirm sponsorship early.
How do I know when Deloitte will file my visa petition after I receive an offer?
After accepting an offer, Deloitte's immigration team typically initiates the LCA filing with DOL before submitting the I-129 to USCIS, since a certified LCA is required first. For H-1B cap-subject petitions, registration opens in March for an October 1 start. For E-3 or H-1B1 petitions, there's no lottery, so filing can begin once your start date is confirmed. Clarify the internal timeline with your recruiter and HR contact during the offer stage.
