Earn cloud certifications before applying
Deloitte's Cloud Solutions Engineer roles consistently require hands-on platform credentials. AWS Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Expert certifications signal readiness and reduce the employer's perceived risk when filing a sponsorship petition.
Target Deloitte's federal and commercial practice separately
Deloitte runs distinct cloud practices for federal clients and commercial clients. Federal roles often require security clearance eligibility, which can complicate sponsorship. Commercial practice openings are generally more accessible for candidates needing H-1B or E-3 sponsorship.
Browse open roles using Migrate Mate
Deloitte posts Cloud Solutions Engineer positions across multiple business units simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship has already been confirmed rather than assuming from the job description.
Request the offer letter before your OPT expires
If you're on F-1 OPT, Deloitte's H-1B petition must be filed during the April cap-season window. Your start date cannot precede October 1. Time your final interview rounds so an offer can be extended with enough lead time to meet USCIS filing deadlines.
Understand how Deloitte structures specialty occupation evidence
Consulting firms face heightened USCIS scrutiny on specialty occupation claims for client-site roles. Deloitte typically supports petitions with detailed statements of work tying your engineering duties to a specific degree requirement. Ask your recruiter how the offer letter will describe your responsibilities.
Confirm LCA wage levels match your actual offer
DOL Labor Condition Applications set the prevailing wage floor Deloitte must meet. For Cloud Solutions Engineers, wage level mismatches between the LCA and offer letter are a common reason for Requests for Evidence from USCIS. Review both documents together before signing.

Find Cloud Solutions Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Solutions Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Solutions Engineers and has done so consistently across its technology and cloud practices. Sponsorship is handled through Deloitte's in-house immigration team and typically follows the standard cap-subject H-1B process, with petitions filed in April for an October 1 start date. Cap-exempt opportunities may exist if the role is based at a qualifying nonprofit or government entity client site.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Cloud Solutions Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most Cloud Solutions Engineer hires, and also files for H-1B1 visas for eligible Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and E-3 visas for Australian citizens. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Deloitte supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification, typically initiated after the candidate has established tenure in the role.
How do I apply for Cloud Solutions Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/careers. Search by job family under Technology and Cloud to surface relevant Cloud Solutions Engineer openings. You can also find Deloitte Cloud Solutions Engineer roles verified for visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions open to international candidates so you avoid wasting time on roles where sponsorship is unavailable.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Cloud Solutions Engineer candidates needing sponsorship?
Deloitte's Cloud Solutions Engineer roles require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, is expected alongside relevant certifications. Consulting-specific skills like client communication, solution scoping, and cross-functional project delivery carry significant weight in the interview process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take once Deloitte extends an offer?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the timeline runs from April filing to an October 1 start date, roughly six months. Premium processing through USCIS reduces adjudication to 15 business days but does not move up the October start date for new cap-subject cases. E-3 visa processing for Australian candidates moving through consular channels in Australia typically takes two to six weeks from application to approval, making it a faster path when applicable.
