Tailor your resume to Deloitte's consulting context
Deloitte evaluates Senior Software Developers on client delivery experience, not just engineering output. Frame your resume around project scope, stakeholder impact, and cross-functional collaboration rather than internal product metrics or individual contributor work.
Verify your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires that the position and your degree field align directly. For Senior Software Developer roles at Deloitte, confirm your offer letter specifies a degree requirement in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field before your employer files the LCA with DOL.
Target Deloitte's technology and systems integration practices
Deloitte's Government and Public Services and Technology Consulting practices post the most Senior Software Developer openings. Filtering your search by these practice areas surfaces roles more likely to have active sponsorship pipelines and faster hiring cycles.
Clarify sponsorship support before accepting an offer
Deloitte's recruiting process moves quickly once an offer is extended. Before signing, confirm in writing whether your offer includes H-1B filing, premium processing, and legal fee coverage. Assumptions made verbally during interviews rarely survive the onboarding paperwork stage.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Senior Software Developer roles at Deloitte
Filtering for sponsorship-confirmed openings saves time during a time-sensitive job search. Migrate Mate aggregates Senior Software Developer listings at Deloitte that are open to visa sponsorship, so you can focus applications where a path actually exists.
Understand how E-3 and H-1B1 affect your filing timeline
If you're an Australian or Singaporean national, Deloitte can file your E-3 or H-1B1 visa petition year-round without waiting for the H-1B lottery window in March. This gives you flexibility to target a start date aligned to a project cycle rather than USCIS registration deadlines.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Software Developers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Software Developers across multiple practice areas. The firm has an established immigration legal team that manages LCA filings with DOL and I-129 petitions with USCIS. H-1B sponsorship is most consistently available for roles within technology consulting, systems integration, and government services, where the degree requirement for the position is clearly defined.
How do I apply for Senior Software Developer jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com. Search by job title and filter for technology or consulting practice areas. Migrate Mate also lists open Senior Software Developer roles at Deloitte that include visa sponsorship, which lets you identify relevant openings without filtering through listings that don't support sponsorship. Tailor your application to the specific practice area and client sector listed in the job description.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Senior Software Developers?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories for Senior Software Developers. H-1B is the most common path for most nationalities. Australian citizens can use the E-3 visa, and Singaporean nationals can use the H-1B1, both of which bypass the H-1B lottery and can be filed at any time of year.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Senior Software Developer roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a directly related technical field. At the senior level, several years of hands-on software development experience are expected, along with demonstrated exposure to enterprise systems, cloud platforms, or client-facing delivery. Consulting experience or the ability to work across cross-functional project teams is valued above pure individual contributor backgrounds.
How do I time my application around Deloitte's H-1B sponsorship process?
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens registration in early March each year for an October 1 start date. You need an offer in place before your employer can register you. Targeting Deloitte openings between December and February gives you the best chance of having an offer confirmed before the registration window opens. If you're selected in the lottery, your employer files the full petition between April and June.
