Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Deloitte's Finance roles typically require a degree directly related to the position, such as accounting, finance, or economics. Before applying, confirm your credentials map to the specific role title, not just the function broadly.
Target practice areas with active hiring cycles
Deloitte's Financial Advisory and Audit practices hire on structured timelines, often tied to busy season and fiscal year planning. Applying in late summer or early fall puts you ahead of the wave when sponsorship discussions are most active.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Finance openings by visa type
Not every Deloitte Finance posting leads to sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles specifically verified for H-1B, E-3, or other visa types, so you're only investing time in positions where your status is already accounted for.
Understand how Deloitte structures LCA filings
Deloitte files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before your H-1B petition can move forward. Ask your recruiter early which office location your LCA will cover, since prevailing wage levels differ by metro area and affect offer structuring.
Prepare for PERM documentation requirements early
If permanent residency is your goal, Deloitte typically initiates PERM through the DOL after you've been in role for some time. Gather your original degree certificates and transcripts now, as PERM audits require primary documents.

Find Finance at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Finance roles across functions including audit, financial advisory, and tax consulting. Sponsorship is handled through Deloitte's internal immigration team, and the process typically begins once a formal offer is extended. Because Finance roles at Deloitte generally meet the specialty occupation standard, H-1B eligibility is well-established for this function.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at Deloitte?
You can apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal or browse Finance roles verified for visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa type so you're not guessing which openings are sponsorship-eligible. Deloitte's Finance hiring often flows through campus recruiting and experienced hire channels, so identifying the right business unit and practice area before applying improves your targeting significantly.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Finance positions?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Finance roles, as well as employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B is the most common path for candidates already in the U.S., while E-3 applies exclusively to Australian citizens. H-1B1 is available to nationals of Singapore and Chile and follows a separate, non-lottery process.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Finance roles requiring visa sponsorship?
Deloitte's Finance positions requiring sponsorship typically call for a bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field. For senior or specialized advisory roles, CPA, CFA, or other professional certifications carry significant weight. Because USCIS requires the degree field to align with the role, a generalist business degree without a finance concentration can complicate the specialty occupation determination.
How do I navigate the visa filing timeline after receiving a Finance offer from Deloitte?
Once Deloitte extends an offer, their immigration team typically initiates the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before filing the H-1B petition with USCIS. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, filing must occur in April for an October 1 start date. Premium processing through USCIS can reduce the adjudication window to around 15 business days, which matters if your current status has a hard end date.
