Align your credentials to Google's Finance scope
Google's Finance roles often require CPA, CFA, or MBA credentials alongside technical skills like SQL and financial modeling. Audit your resume to reflect experience with large-scale data-driven financial analysis, not just traditional accounting workflows.
Target roles that map to sponsored visa categories
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Finance positions. If you're Australian, the E-3 bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. Filter your job search by roles where your nationality and degree field match an available visa pathway before applying.
Find open Finance roles using Migrate Mate
Browse Finance openings at Google that are actively open to visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. Filtering by visa type and role lets you confirm sponsorship eligibility before investing time in a full application.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Google's recruiting process for Finance involves multiple rounds. Confirm visa sponsorship availability with the recruiter before your first technical screen, not after the offer stage, to avoid late-cycle surprises when timelines are tight.
Request premium processing before your start date locks
USCIS premium processing guarantees a decision within 15 business days. For Finance roles with fixed onboarding dates at Google, ask your employer's immigration team to elect premium processing so approval doesn't delay your start.

Find Finance at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Finance positions. Finance roles at Google typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, accounting, or economics. Sponsorship is handled through Google's in-house immigration team in coordination with outside counsel.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at Google?
Applications go through Google's careers portal at careers.google.com. Finance roles at Google are competitive, so tailor your resume to highlight quantitative skills, experience with large data sets, and any exposure to the technology sector. Confirm visa sponsorship availability with the recruiter during your first conversation, before advancing through multiple interview rounds.
Which visa types does Google commonly use for Finance roles?
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Finance professionals. The H-1B applies to most nationalities but is subject to an annual lottery. The H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals and has no lottery. The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and also bypasses the H-1B lottery, making it a faster path for eligible candidates.
What qualifications does Google expect for Finance roles?
Most Finance roles at Google require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related quantitative field. Senior roles often expect an MBA, CPA, or CFA. Beyond credentials, Google places significant weight on analytical capability, experience with financial modeling, and comfort with data tools. Roles in tax and treasury tend to require more specialized technical backgrounds.
How do I find Finance roles at Google that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you browse Finance openings at Google filtered by visa type, so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. This saves time compared to applying through the general careers portal and discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process. Once you identify a role on Migrate Mate, complete your application directly through Google's official careers site.
