Job Description
Join a high-impact team where you help shape decisions for our Merchant Services business. You'll work with large datasets to drive actionable insight, craft compelling executive materials, and partner across teams to solve complex problems. We're looking for a proactive self-starter who takes ownership, thrives on curiosity, and moves work forward as part of a collaborative, supportive team. As a Business Management Associate in the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team, you support the Merchant Services (Payments) Small and Medium Business (SMB) by delivering reporting, analytics, and executive materials that inform strategic decisions. A core part of this role is working hands-on with big data—wrangling, cleaning, and transforming large, disparate datasets into reliable, decision-ready intelligence. You will partner with business managers, finance, and project teams to lead financial processes, investment planning, business cases, budgeting, monthly reviews, OKRs, and special projects. Your work will surface trends, risks, and opportunities that help senior leadership optimize performance and manage risk.
Job Responsibilities
- Take initiative to independently build and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reporting to track key business drivers and performance trends—anticipating needs before they are raised.
- Work extensively with large, complex datasets: source, cleanse, validate, and transform raw data into accurate, analysis-ready foundations.
- Perform deep-dive analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and root causes, translating findings into clear recommendations.
- Proactively prepare weekly and monthly executive reporting packages and presentations that communicate strategy and performance projections.
- Rapidly create mock-ups for management presentations, reports, and dashboards to accelerate decision-making.
- Coordinate deliverables and timelines with business managers, finance, project managers, and other F&BM partners.
- Respond promptly and independently to executive ad-hoc requests across project management, presentation development, and business analysis.
- Leverage Excel and Alteryx to organize, cleanse, and analyze large datasets at scale; distill insights into concise, executive-ready materials.
- Self-direct problem-solving: identify issues, align stakeholders, design solutions, and drive execution through resolution with clear, timely communication.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while simplifying and improving business processes with global team members.
- Contribute to investment planning, business cases, budgeting, monthly business reviews, and OKRs for the SMB portfolio.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, MIS, or a related field.
- Proven self-starter who takes ownership and drives work forward independently, while knowing when to lean on and collaborate with a supportive team of business managers, finance partners, and F&BM colleagues.
- Demonstrated experience working with big data—comfortable handling large, messy, multi-source datasets and performing rigorous data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure integrity and accuracy.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills; ability to craft a clear narrative and translate complex qualitative and quantitative insights into concise executive materials.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to handle and manipulate large datasets and derive decision-ready insights; knowledge of or interest in learning Alteryx.
- Demonstrated project and time management skills with strong organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate across large, matrixed teams; build trusted relationships and influence at multiple levels; partner with leadership to implement business solutions.
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work independently; adaptable to shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Hands-on experience cleaning, wrangling, and automating workflows on large datasets using Excel and Alteryx.
- Experience working with modern data platforms and querying tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, or SQL to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
- Experience using PowerPoint with PitchPro+ for executive-level presentation development.

Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Finance roles at JPMorganChase, including financial analyst and risk management positions, must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS guidelines. A directly related bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting strengthens your petition significantly more than a general business credential.
Target divisions with consistent sponsorship history
JPMorganChase's Corporate and Investment Bank and Asset and Wealth Management divisions file across multiple visa categories for Finance roles. Focusing your applications on these lines of business improves your odds of landing a role where sponsorship is a standard part of the hiring process.
Prepare for a structured, multi-round interview process
JPMorganChase Finance interviews typically include technical assessments covering financial modeling, accounting principles, and data analysis. Arriving with demonstrated proficiency in Excel, SQL, and relevant financial systems signals the specialized expertise that supports a strong specialty occupation argument to USCIS.
Understand which visa category your role supports
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3, and employment-based Green Card categories. If you're Australian, the E-3 bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. If you're pursuing permanent residence, confirm early whether your role and employer support EB-2 or EB-3 PERM filings.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Ask your recruiter whether the offer covers both initial visa filing and future extensions or Green Card sponsorship. Large financial institutions like JPMorganChase have internal immigration teams, but policy on PERM sponsorship timelines can vary by business unit and seniority level.
Browse Finance openings at JPMorganChase on Migrate Mate
Finding Finance roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship at a company this size takes targeted filtering. Migrate Mate lets you search verified sponsoring employers by role type and visa category, so you can focus your applications on positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Finance positions including financial analyst, risk management, and treasury roles. The company uses an internal immigration team to manage filings. Because H-1B approval depends on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation, Finance positions that require a directly related degree in finance, accounting, or economics are the strongest candidates for sponsorship.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at JPMorganChase?
Applications go through JPMorganChase's careers portal, where Finance roles are listed by division and location. Roles in the Corporate and Investment Bank and Asset and Wealth Management divisions are the most active for sponsorship. You can also browse visa-sponsoring Finance openings directly on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where sponsorship is confirmed before you apply.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase use for Finance positions?
JPMorganChase files across several visa categories for Finance roles, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and E-3 visa for Australian citizens. The company also supports employment-based Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM for qualifying employees. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and the specific Finance role you're hired into.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for sponsored Finance roles?
Most Finance roles at JPMorganChase require a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as finance, economics, accounting, or mathematics. Analytical roles often expect proficiency in financial modeling, SQL, and reporting tools. For USCIS purposes, the degree field needs to align specifically with the job duties, so a generalist business degree may not be sufficient for more technical Finance positions.
How do I think about the timeline for visa sponsorship at JPMorganChase?
For H-1B roles, JPMorganChase must file during the April lottery window for an October 1 start date, so your offer timing matters. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date against this calendar early. E-3 and H-1B1 visas can be processed year-round without a lottery, which makes them faster paths. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, DOL processing alone can take well over a year.
