Align your certifications before applying
Deloitte prioritizes Workday-certified candidates for consulting roles. Completing Workday Pro certifications in HCM, Financials, or Payroll before you apply strengthens your petition by clearly establishing specialty occupation eligibility when your employer files with USCIS.
Target Deloitte's dedicated immigration support team
Deloitte uses in-house immigration counsel to manage visa filings. Once you have an offer, ask your recruiter to connect you with that team early so your LCA is filed with the DOL before your start date is locked in.
Flag your visa type during the offer stage
E-3 applicants can bypass the H-1B lottery entirely, which matters at a firm that hires on a rolling basis. If you hold Australian citizenship, raise the E-3 pathway with your recruiter before the offer letter is drafted.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Workday roles
Deloitte posts Workday Consultant openings across multiple practice lines and geographies. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed, so you're only targeting positions that match your immigration situation.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Many Workday Consultant roles at Deloitte require a bachelor's in a relevant field like computer science, information systems, or accounting. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation completed before the H-1B petition is prepared.
Understand the PERM timeline for long-term sponsorship
Deloitte sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for consultants in ongoing roles. PERM labor certification through the DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 can be filed, so start that conversation with your manager well before your H-1B extensions become a constraint.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Workday Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Workday Consultants. The firm has one of the more active H-1B sponsorship programs in the consulting sector, particularly for technology implementation roles. Workday Consultants typically qualify under the specialty occupation standard, given the degree requirements tied to enterprise HR and finance systems work.
How do I apply for Workday Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
Apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse verified Workday Consultant openings at Deloitte filtered by visa sponsorship availability. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific Workday modules listed in the job description, such as HCM, Payroll, or Financials, and note your visa status clearly in your application or initial recruiter call.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Workday Consultant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, and E-3 visas for Workday Consultants, covering candidates from most countries as well as Chilean, Singaporean, and Australian nationals through their respective treaty visa categories. For candidates seeking permanent residence, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for consultants in long-term roles.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for sponsored Workday Consultant roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, accounting, or business, along with hands-on Workday implementation experience. Workday Pro certifications in modules like HCM or Financials are strongly preferred. For senior roles, prior consulting experience at a systems integrator or Big Four firm carries significant weight in the hiring process.
How do I time my application around H-1B sponsorship at Deloitte?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. If you're on OPT, target Deloitte's hiring cycles in late fall or early spring so an offer can be in place before the registration deadline. STEM OPT extensions give you up to three years of additional runway, which reduces pressure if you miss a lottery cycle.
