Frame your credentials around client-facing outcomes
Deloitte's partnership development roles prioritize demonstrated revenue influence and ecosystem relationship management. Before applying, document specific examples of co-sell agreements, alliance KPIs, or partner pipeline contributions that translate directly into consulting industry language.
Target Deloitte's alliance and ecosystem team postings
Deloitte structures partnership development under specific alliances practices tied to technology partners like Salesforce, AWS, or SAP. Search for postings that name these ecosystems explicitly, as they're more likely to have defined sponsorship precedent and faster hiring cycles.
Understand how H-1B1 and E-3 differ from H-1B filing
If you're Australian or from Singapore or Chile, Deloitte can file your work authorization without waiting for the H-1B lottery. These cap-exempt categories allow year-round filing, which removes the annual April timing constraint that affects most international candidates.
Align your offer timeline to USCIS processing windows
H-1B petitions have an October 1 start date. If your offer closes after April's registration period, you'll either need to wait for the next cycle or ask Deloitte's immigration team about cap-exempt alternatives or premium processing to compress the timeline to around 15 business days.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Partnership Development Manager openings at Deloitte
Filter by role and visa type to find Deloitte postings that match your sponsorship category. Migrate Mate surfaces jobs from employers with verified sponsorship histories, so you're not guessing whether a posting will actually support an H-1B or E-3 petition.
Ask about PERM timing before accepting a lateral offer
If you're targeting permanent residence through EB-2 or EB-3, confirm whether Deloitte initiates PERM during your nonimmigrant status or only after a review period. Consulting firms often tie PERM sponsorship to performance milestones, so clarifying this in writing before signing protects your long-term green card timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers. The firm has an established immigration program and works with experienced immigration counsel to file petitions for qualifying roles. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, your offer timing matters. Roles that fall under cap-exempt arrangements or that qualify for premium processing give you more flexibility on start dates.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, and E-3 visas for this function depending on your nationality. Australian citizens qualify for the E-3, which has no lottery and can be filed year-round. Singaporean and Chilean nationals may qualify for the H-1B1 under similar cap-exempt rules. For permanent residence, Deloitte has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for employees in professional roles including partnership development functions.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Browse open Partnership Development Manager roles on Deloitte's careers site or use Migrate Mate to filter for Deloitte postings that align with your visa category. Applications typically require a resume and a cover letter tailored to the specific alliance or practice area. Deloitte's interview process for this role generally includes a recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, and a panel focused on partnership strategy and business development experience.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Partnership Development Manager candidates?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with direct experience managing technology or consulting alliances. Familiarity with partner ecosystems tied to platforms like Salesforce, Microsoft, or AWS is a strong differentiator. Experience with co-sell motions, joint go-to-market planning, or managing partner tiers at a professional services or enterprise software firm aligns closely with what Deloitte's alliance practices require.
How do I time my application to maximize visa sponsorship chances at Deloitte?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, apply early enough to receive an offer before mid-March, when USCIS opens H-1B registration for the following October 1 start date. If you miss the cycle, ask Deloitte's immigration team about premium processing or whether your nationality qualifies for a cap-exempt category. For E-3 or H-1B1 visa candidates, timing is less constrained since those petitions can be filed throughout the year.
