Align your background with Micron's product segments
Micron organizes its business management function around DRAM, NAND, and storage product lines. Frame your experience around supply-demand planning, customer account management, or go-to-market strategy within a specific product category rather than presenting generalist business credentials.
Prepare a U.S.-style resume before applying
Micron's recruiting team screens resumes formatted for a U.S. audience, not CVs. Lead with quantified business outcomes, revenue impact, or portfolio size. Competency-based summaries common in other countries often get filtered out before a recruiter reviews them.
Target roles that specify cross-functional or technical depth
Business Manager postings at Micron that mention interface with engineering, product planning, or sales operations teams signal roles the company actively sponsors. These positions require domain fluency in semiconductors or electronics, which strengthens your specialty occupation case for H-1B purposes.
Understand how Micron structures its LCA before your offer
Micron files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. The LCA locks in the prevailing wage tier for your work location and job title. If your offer is for a Boise, Idaho or Manassas, Virginia site, research DOL prevailing wage levels for those metros specifically.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Business Manager roles at Micron
Micron posts Business Manager openings across multiple sites and business units at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter for current openings at Micron that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to live roles rather than chasing listings that have already closed or been filled internally.
Account for USCIS cap timing when negotiating your start date
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed for an October 1 start date. If your offer arrives after the April filing window, your earliest authorized start is 12 months away. Build that timeline into your offer negotiation so your employer and you are aligned on when employment can begin.

Find Business Manager at Micron Technology JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Micron Technology sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes. Micron Technology sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or economics. Micron has an established immigration program that handles the petition process through internal legal resources, which reduces the administrative burden on sponsored employees during the filing period.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Micron Technology?
Apply directly through Micron's careers portal or find current openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Business Manager roles at Micron are organized by product line and region, so search for roles that align with your specific background in semiconductor markets, customer strategy, or product operations. Tailor your application to the product segment listed in the posting rather than submitting a generic application.
Which visa types does Micron Technology commonly use for Business Manager positions?
Micron sponsors H-1B visas for most Business Manager hires requiring work authorization. For candidates from Singapore or Chile, the H-1B1 is an option Micron has used as an H-1B alternative, given its annual availability and exemption from the lottery. For longer-term employment, Micron also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, typically initiated after the employee has established a track record in the role.
What qualifications and experience does Micron look for in a Business Manager?
Micron's Business Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field, with relevant industry experience in semiconductors, electronics, or technology hardware. Roles that involve pricing strategy, customer engagement, or product portfolio management often expect prior exposure to B2B sales cycles or supply chain dynamics in the electronics sector. An MBA or advanced degree can strengthen your profile for more senior positions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Business Manager role at Micron?
If you require H-1B sponsorship and are subject to the annual cap, the timeline runs from the lottery registration window in March through an October 1 start date. That is roughly six months from selection to authorized employment. Micron typically uses premium processing for selected candidates to reduce USCIS adjudication time from several months to 15 business days. Candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer can transfer to Micron more quickly using H-1B portability rules.
