Frame your certifications for federal consulting
Deloitte's security practice wins contracts requiring clearance-eligible staff. Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or DoD 8570-aligned credentials signal you're ready for that work and strengthen your profile before you apply.
Target practices that handle regulated industries
Deloitte's Government and Public Services and Financial Services practices generate consistent Security Engineering Manager demand. Filtering your applications to these verticals puts you in front of hiring managers who regularly work with sponsored candidates.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active sponsorship roles
Not every Deloitte posting signals willingness to sponsor. Use Migrate Mate to filter Security Engineering Manager roles at Deloitte by visa type so you're applying where sponsorship is already on the table.
Clarify your status before the offer stage
Deloitte's talent acquisition team screens for work authorization early. Knowing whether you need H-1B cap selection, a cap-exempt transfer, or an E-3 filing lets you answer that question without slowing down the offer process.
Align your offer timing with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS requires employer registration in March for an October 1 start. Securing your Deloitte offer by February gives enough runway to register before the cap window closes.
Understand how Deloitte structures the LCA for your role
The DOL Labor Condition Application locks in your work location and prevailing wage level. Security Engineering Managers at consulting firms often work at client sites, so confirm with your recruiter how Deloitte handles multi-site LCA filings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Security Engineering Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Security Engineering Managers and has a well-established process for doing so across its technology and consulting practices. The firm's legal and HR teams handle the filings directly, so candidates typically work with an internal immigration coordinator rather than arranging outside counsel. Your role, work location, and employment start date all affect how the filing is structured.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Security Engineering Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for most Security Engineering Manager hires, covering the broadest range of nationalities. Australian citizens are commonly sponsored on the E-3 visa, which avoids the H-1B lottery. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Deloitte supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, typically initiated after a period of employment through the PERM labor certification process.
How do I apply for Security Engineering Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/careers. You can also find and filter active Security Engineering Manager roles at Deloitte that explicitly offer visa sponsorship using Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions by visa type so you're not guessing. Tailor your resume to highlight team leadership, client-facing security program delivery, and any industry-specific compliance experience relevant to Deloitte's practice areas.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for a Security Engineering Manager?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a closely related field, along with several years of progressive experience managing security engineering teams. Hands-on expertise in areas like SIEM platforms, cloud security architecture, or zero-trust frameworks is common across postings. Certifications such as CISSP or CISM strengthen your application, and experience delivering security programs in regulated industries carries significant weight given Deloitte's client base.
How do I think about the timeline from offer to visa approval at Deloitte?
For an H-1B requiring cap selection, the full timeline from offer to work authorization runs at least six to eight months when accounting for the March registration window and an October 1 start date. E-3 applicants can move faster, often completing consular processing within four to eight weeks of receiving a certified LCA from the DOL. Deloitte's immigration team coordinates these filings internally, but understanding the sequence upfront helps you negotiate a realistic start date.
