Align your credentials to Deloitte's specialty occupation standard
Deloitte's Data Management and Strategy roles require a degree in a directly related field like information systems, computer science, or data engineering. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility closely, so a misaligned degree can delay or complicate your H-1B petition.
Target Deloitte's sector-specific data practices
Deloitte organizes data management work by industry vertical, including financial services, government, and health care. Applying through the practice area that matches your client background makes your candidacy more credible and increases your chances of clearing early screening rounds.
Search for these roles on Migrate Mate
Data Management and Strategy Manager openings at Deloitte are distributed across multiple practice lines and geographies. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa sponsorship type so you're only seeing positions where your work authorization need is already accounted for.
Understand Deloitte's LCA filing obligations before negotiating
Deloitte must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your offered wage meets prevailing wage levels before submitting your H-1B petition. If your offer is in a high-cost metro, the prevailing wage tier matters, so research DOL wage data for your specific location and role level.
Prepare for a multi-round technical and case interview process
Deloitte's Manager-level hiring typically involves both a behavioral round and a technical assessment covering data governance frameworks, cloud data platforms, and client engagement scenarios. Coming in without fluency in tools like Collibra, Informatica, or Azure Purview puts you at a disadvantage.
Clarify sponsorship timing during the offer stage
If you're on OPT and your STEM extension is running short, confirm with your Deloitte recruiter whether the team can file an H-1B cap-subject petition in the next cycle. USCIS H-1B registration opens in March, so your start date needs to align with an October 1 cap season.

Find Data Management & Strategy - Manager at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Data Management & Strategy - Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Data Management and Strategy Manager roles. The firm has a dedicated global mobility and immigration team that manages the filing process, including the DOL Labor Condition Application and USCIS petition. Sponsorship is generally available for full-time hires at this level, though it varies by practice area and business need.
How do I apply for Data Management & Strategy - Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where you can search by role title and location. Because many openings are tied to specific practice lines, filtering by service area like technology consulting or analytics helps narrow results. You can also browse current openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship is already part of the hiring criteria.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Data Management & Strategy - Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for this role, along with employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B is the most common path for non-Australian, non-Chilean, and non-Singaporean nationals. Australian citizens working in this function often use the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable status.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for a Data Management & Strategy Manager?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's or master's degree in a field directly tied to data management, such as information systems, computer science, or statistics. At the Manager level, five to eight years of relevant consulting or enterprise data experience is standard, with fluency in data governance frameworks, metadata management, and cloud data platforms expected across most practice areas.
How does the visa sponsorship process and timeline work at Deloitte?
After accepting an offer, Deloitte's immigration team engages an external law firm to file the DOL LCA and USCIS I-129 petition. For cap-subject H-1B cases, registration happens in March with an October 1 start date if selected. Premium processing, which USCIS adjudicates within 15 business days, is commonly used at this level to avoid prolonged uncertainty before project staffing.
