The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $148,200 to $292,300.

Align your degree to Deloitte's specialty occupation standard
Deloitte's H-1B petitions for Technical Consultants require a direct connection between your degree field and the role's technical focus. A computer science or information systems degree maps cleanly, but a general business degree often doesn't survive USCIS scrutiny without supplementary coursework documentation.
Target practice areas with recurring international hiring
Deloitte's technology and systems integration practices, particularly in cloud platforms and ERP implementations, consistently hire internationally. Filtering your search to these sub-practices gives you a stronger shot than applying broadly across all consulting service lines.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Technical Consultant roles
Deloitte posts Technical Consultant openings across multiple locations and practice areas simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Deloitte that include visa sponsorship, so you're not manually screening hundreds of listings for sponsorship eligibility.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Deloitte recruits through campus programs and lateral pipelines separately. If you're applying laterally, confirm during the recruiter screen whether the specific practice group is currently sponsoring, since budget and headcount decisions affect sponsorship availability at the team level, not just company-wide.
Prepare for H-1B cap timing within your offer negotiation
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, your October 1 start date is non-negotiable. Deloitte's offer process for consulting roles can run long, so factor H-1B registration windows, typically opening in March, into your timeline when discussing a start date with your recruiter.
Document client-facing technical deliverables for your petition
USCIS increasingly scrutinizes consulting petitions for third-party placement. Your petition should reflect Deloitte-controlled work with defined technical deliverables. Gather project documentation showing your direct role in architecture decisions or systems configuration, not just project coordination or stakeholder management.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Consultant roles and has done so consistently across its technology and systems integration practices. Sponsorship is generally available for roles requiring a specific technical degree, but it's decided at the practice and office level, so confirm with your recruiter early in the process rather than assuming company-wide policy applies uniformly.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Technical Consultant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most internationally hired Technical Consultants, along with the H-1B1 visa for Singaporean and Chilean nationals and the E-3 visa for Australian citizens. For longer-term pathways, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees who have been with the firm and meet the relevant employment-based immigration criteria.
How do I apply for Technical Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where roles are listed by service line and location. You can also browse Technical Consultant openings at Deloitte that include visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters listings specifically for sponsorship-eligible roles. Campus recruiting pipelines run separately from lateral applications, so the process differs depending on your background and experience level.
What qualifications does Deloitte typically expect for Technical Consultant roles?
Deloitte's Technical Consultant roles generally require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a closely related technical field. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, or data and analytics tools is commonly expected. For senior roles, client-facing project experience and certifications in relevant platforms carry significant weight in the hiring process.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Technical Consultant offer at Deloitte?
Timeline depends heavily on which visa category applies. E-3 and H-1B1 visa petitions can move faster since they're not subject to the annual cap lottery. Cap-subject H-1B petitions require USCIS registration in March for an October 1 start. USCIS premium processing is available for most petition types and reduces adjudication to around 15 business days, which Deloitte may offer depending on business need.
