Align your credentials with CohnReznick's service lines
CohnReznick's Tax Services practice focuses heavily on real estate, private equity, and government contracting clients. Framing your CPA credentials and advisory experience around these niches makes your application far more compelling than a generalist tax background.
Target offices with active client pipelines
CohnReznick's New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago offices carry the heaviest transaction and advisory volume. Applying to these locations increases your chances of landing a role where sponsorship is both expected and budgeted for manager-level hires.
Browse open roles directly through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Tax Services Manager openings at CohnReznick by visa type. This saves you from manually cross-referencing job boards with DOL disclosure data to confirm which roles have active sponsorship history.
Clarify sponsorship timing before the offer stage
Ask your recruiter whether the role is designated for H-1B transfer or new cap-subject filing. At the manager level, CohnReznick typically files before the April lottery window, so confirming this before you negotiate avoids a last-minute mismatch.
Prepare your educational equivalency documentation early
If your accounting degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before interviews begin. CohnReznick's immigration counsel will need this for the H-1B specialty occupation analysis, and delays here can push filing past the USCIS deadline.
Understand how LCA prevailing wage affects your offer
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your wage meets the prevailing level for the Tax Services Manager role in that metro. Request the wage level designation in writing so you can verify it matches your offer before signing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CohnReznick sponsor H-1B visas for Tax Services Managers?
Yes, CohnReznick sponsors H-1B visas for Tax Services Manager roles. The firm has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for professional staff in its tax practice. If you're currently on an H-1B with another employer, CohnReznick can initiate a transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition rather than waiting for approval.
How do I apply for Tax Services Manager jobs at CohnReznick?
You can find and apply for Tax Services Manager openings at CohnReznick through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. CohnReznick's hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical interviews focused on client advisory scenarios, and a panel interview with senior tax leaders before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does CohnReznick commonly use for Tax Services Manager roles?
CohnReznick sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, and J-1 visas for Tax Services Manager positions, as well as F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates transitioning from academic programs. H-1B is the most common pathway for full-time hires. Australian citizens should ask specifically about E-3 visa eligibility, which bypasses the H-1B lottery and allows a faster start date.
What qualifications does CohnReznick expect for a Tax Services Manager?
CohnReznick typically expects a CPA license or active CPA candidacy, a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or taxation, and several years of public accounting experience at the senior associate or manager level. Experience in partnership taxation, real estate funds, or financial services clients is a strong differentiator given the firm's core industry focus.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for this role?
For a new cap-subject H-1B, USCIS opens registration in early March for an October 1 start date. If you're selected in the lottery, your employer files the full petition by late June. Build your job search timeline so you have an offer in place before March. If you're already on H-1B status, a transfer to CohnReznick can happen at any point in the year.
