Target roles in audit and advisory
CohnReznick's sponsorship activity is concentrated in its core service lines. Roles in assurance, tax, and advisory are your strongest entry points, these are the functions where the firm consistently hires and sponsors international candidates.
Understand the H-1B timeline early
CohnReznick sponsors H-1B visas, so if you're on OPT, plan around the April lottery window. Start conversations with recruiting well before your OPT expires to ensure there's enough lead time for petition filing.
Australian nationals should explore the E-3 pathway
CohnReznick has sponsored E-3 visas, making it a viable option for Australian accounting professionals. The E-3 has no lottery, so it's a more predictable path than H-1B for eligible candidates in qualifying specialty occupation roles.
Lead with CPA progress and technical credentials
Accounting firms evaluate candidates on licensure trajectory and technical depth. Highlighting CPA exam progress, relevant certifications, or specialized skills in tax or audit signals long-term value and strengthens the case for sponsorship investment.
Ask about sponsorship policy during the offer stage
CohnReznick has a track record of sponsoring international hires, but policies can vary by office and role level. Raise visa needs directly with the recruiter once an offer is in motion, don't wait until after you've accepted.
Filter for verified sponsors before applying
Not every accounting firm that claims to sponsor actually does consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, use it to confirm CohnReznick's track record before investing time in the application process.
