Frame your credentials around advisory specializations
CohnReznick's Project Consultant roles often sit within specialized practice areas like restructuring, real estate, or government contracting. Align your resume and transcripts to the specific advisory function you're targeting, not just general accounting.
Target roles tied to client-facing project work
Project Consultant positions at CohnReznick are structured around client engagements, so roles in active practice groups fill faster. Focus your applications on advisory lines with visible deal flow rather than internal or back-office functions.
Clarify your visa category early in interviews
CohnReznick sponsors multiple visa types, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Naming your specific category early signals you've done the groundwork and helps hiring managers route your file to HR before the offer stage, reducing delays.
Build your application timeline around H-1B cap dates
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start date. Target CohnReznick's campus and experienced-hire recruiting cycles in late fall and winter to align your offer timing with the filing window.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Project Consultant roles
Filtering by visa type and employer saves significant time when you're targeting a firm like CohnReznick specifically. Use Migrate Mate to surface active Project Consultant openings that list visa sponsorship, so you're applying to confirmed opportunities.
Confirm LCA wage compliance before accepting an offer
CohnReznick must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B or E-3 petition. Verify that your offered salary meets the prevailing wage for your specific role level and work location, since CohnReznick offices span multiple wage tiers.

Which visa types does CohnReznick commonly use for Project Consultant roles?
CohnReznick sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas for Project Consultant positions. The right category depends on your nationality and academic status. Australian citizens are strong candidates for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying accounting roles may qualify for TN visa status. F-1 students often enter on OPT before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What qualifications are expected for Project Consultant roles at CohnReznick?
CohnReznick typically expects a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field for Project Consultant positions. CPA candidacy is often preferred, and some roles require demonstrated experience in a specific practice area such as restructuring, real estate advisory, or government contracting. For H-1B eligibility, your degree must align directly with the specialty occupation requirements USCIS applies to the specific role.
How do I handle the visa filing timeline when joining CohnReznick as a Project Consultant?
If your role requires an H-1B and you're cap-subject, CohnReznick's HR team needs to submit your registration during USCIS's March window. For E-3 or TN visas, processing is faster and not lottery-dependent, often completing within weeks. F-1 OPT candidates should confirm their OPT end date against the expected start date, since CohnReznick's onboarding timelines vary by practice group and location.
