Over the last few years, we've made big investments in our ability to bring digital and AI-based tools to our clients, including a center of excellence focused on the Digital, Data & AI topic.
As we build and expand our existing team of Digital, Data & AI experts, we’re looking for individuals who bring data, digital tools, and AI methods into real consulting projects that create measurable value in procurement and supply chain management. If you want to make a tangible difference, build lasting client relationships, and shape what comes next - we’d love to have you with us.
As a Senior Consultant, you won’t just gather insights - you’ll turn them into action. You’ll actively work with clients to implement our digital and AI-based solutions in real world contexts to help clients unlock value and shape their technological future.
From day one, you’ll collaborate closely with our team of procurement professionals, gain exposure to C-level thinking, and take ownership of workstreams that matter. You’ll also help guide junior colleagues, sharing your knowledge and setting the pace for the team.
As part of a fast-growing practice and an even faster-growing center of excellence, you’ll have the space to shape your journey. Whether you’re looking to deepen your expertise, explore new industries, or take the next step in your consulting career, we’ll support you with tailored development and real responsibility.
You’ll grow, you’ll contribute, and you’ll do it alongside a team that wants to see you succeed.
As part of a high-growth company, with accelerated opportunities you will be responsible for:
- Pioneering digital and AI. You'll lead AI-based, client-facing workstreams and modules that enable clients to be at the cutting-edge.
- Data-driven project support. You’ll bring data, digital tools, and AI methods into real consulting projects - supporting teams and clients with analyses, insights, and prototypes that create measurable value in procurement and supply chain management.
- Analytics with purpose. From cleansing and transforming raw data into structured insights to building intuitive dashboards and self-service reports, you’ll make information accessible and actionable for project teams and clients.
- Smart automation. You’ll apply modern technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, Python, and GenAI to streamline processes, whether that’s automating data extraction, building forecasting models, or experimenting with AI-enabled solutions that make procurement smarter and faster.
- Innovation and learning. You’ll continuously explore how new technologies like LLMs, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics can be applied to procurement and supply chain challenges, sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing to the growth of our digital, data & AI community at Inverto.
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years of professional experience in analytics, consulting, or data-driven roles, including hands-on work with core analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Excel) as a foundation for developing more advanced solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Master’s preferred).
- Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, and building analytic or AI-supported workflows. Experience working within cloud environments (Azure preferred) and/or the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Curiosity and practical experience with modern AI technologies, such as using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-based systems, or workflow/agent orchestration frameworks. Examples may include OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, or similar tools - but prior exposure to all is not required.
- Ability to translate complex business problems - especially in procurement and supply chain - into scalable analytics, automation, or AI-enabled solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with creativity, pragmatism, and the ability to design solutions that balance technical innovation and real-world feasibility.
- Consulting mindset and behaviors: independence, structured thinking, clear communication of insights, and the confidence to influence clients and stakeholders.
- Results-oriented mindset with a high level of personal accountability.
- Willingness to travel to work with clients and Inverto teams. At times, this role will require significant travel to client sites. The amount of travel will depend on client needs and nature of projects.
- An authentic, entrepreneurial spirit that thrives through team collaboration.

Position Your Degree for Specialty Occupation
BCG's Project Consultant role requires demonstrating that your degree directly supports consulting work in a specific domain. Frame your academic background around quantitative analysis, business strategy, or a technical field so the H-1B specialty occupation standard is clearly met from the start.
Target BCG's MBA Recruiting Pipeline First
BCG recruits Project Consultants heavily through MBA programs at schools like Harvard, Wharton, and Booth. Engaging through on-campus recruiting gives you direct access to BCG's HR and immigration team early, well before offer-stage visa conversations become time-sensitive.
Clarify Visa Type Before Accepting an Offer
BCG sponsors multiple visa categories including H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1. Australians and Canadians should confirm which category applies to their offer, since E-3 and TN processing timelines differ significantly from H-1B, affecting your start date flexibility.
Align Your Start Date With H-1B Cap Deadlines
If you need an H-1B and aren't cap-exempt, BCG must register you in March for an October 1 start. Plan your final-round interviews and offer timing accordingly so you don't accept a role that misses the registration window.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Open Project Consultant Roles
Searching for visa-sponsored consulting roles manually is slow and inconsistent. Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Consultant openings at BCG by visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed, not guessing based on job description language.
Prepare Your I-94 and Status Documentation Early
BCG's legal team will need your current immigration status documents before initiating any petition. Pull your I-94 arrival record from the CBP website and have your visa stamp, approval notices, and any OPT or EAD documentation organized before your first HR conversation.

Find Project Consultant at Boston Consulting Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Consulting Group sponsor H-1B visas for Project Consultants?
Yes, BCG sponsors H-1B visas for Project Consultants. BCG has a consistent track record of supporting international candidates in this role through the H-1B process, including cap-subject registrations for MBA hires and cap-exempt filings where applicable. The process is managed through BCG's internal legal and HR teams, and sponsorship is typically discussed during the offer stage.
Which visa types does Boston Consulting Group commonly sponsor for Project Consultant roles?
BCG sponsors several visa categories for Project Consultants, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students still within their authorized training period. The right category depends on your nationality and current immigration status, so confirm the applicable type with BCG's HR team early in the offer process.
What qualifications and experience does Boston Consulting Group expect for Project Consultant roles?
BCG typically hires Project Consultants from top MBA programs or from lateral backgrounds with two to four years of experience in consulting, finance, or a specialized industry. Strong analytical skills, client-facing communication, and the ability to structure complex business problems are central to the role. For international applicants, your degree must align with the specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines.
How do I apply for Project Consultant jobs at Boston Consulting Group?
You can apply directly through BCG's careers portal or through your MBA program's recruiting platform if BCG recruits on campus there. For international candidates who need visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lets you browse open Project Consultant positions at BCG filtered by visa type, so you can prioritize roles where sponsorship is confirmed before investing time in the application process.
How do I plan my timeline around BCG's H-1B sponsorship process?
If your role requires an H-1B, BCG must submit your registration during USCIS's March lottery window for an October 1 start date. For candidates finishing an MBA or transitioning from OPT, this timeline is critical. E-3 and TN visas move faster and aren't subject to the annual cap, so Australians, Canadians, and Mexican nationals have more flexibility on start dates once an offer is in hand.
