ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Total Rewards Benefits Operate Senior Consultant, you will support work by contributing to Health & Welfare (H&W) benefits administration implementations and enabling a smooth transition to ongoing operations. This role is hands-on: gathering and translating requirements, supporting solution design and testing, coordinating with integration and payroll teams, and helping drive operational readiness.

- Document H&W plan rules and administration requirements (e.g., eligibility, enrollment, life events, EoI, deductions, billing, carrier/vendor feeds, reporting).
- Build and maintain key implementation artifacts (requirements traceability, decision logs, RAID logs, status updates, implementation schedules).
- Advise on end-to-end H&W administration capabilities across traditional provider platforms (e.g., enrollment experience, rules engines, eligibility, communications, carrier connectivity).
- Support operational process design (exception handling, case processes, reconciliation, member experience touchpoints).
- Assist with test planning and execution for integrations and deductions (test scenarios, test data, defect triage, results documentation).
- Help identify and escalate risks tied to data quality, timing, and payroll close dependencies.
- Develop or support creation of readiness artifacts (SOP drafts, RACI inputs, escalation paths, training/job aids, service metrics).
- Support hypercare activities: issue tracking, root cause analysis support, communication to stakeholders, and documentation of fixes.
- Partner effectively with client stakeholders across Total Rewards, HR, HRIT, Payroll, Finance, and vendors.
THE TEAM

Align your degree to Deloitte's specialty occupation standard
Deloitte's Project Consultant roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a field directly tied to the work, such as business, computer science, or engineering. A general degree paired with unrelated experience often draws USCIS scrutiny on specialty occupation grounds, so frame your credentials precisely.
Target Deloitte's campus recruiting pipeline early
Deloitte fills a significant share of Project Consultant seats through on-campus recruiting at target universities. Engaging during fall recruiting season, before open roles are posted externally, puts you ahead of candidates who apply through the general portal later.
Clarify your visa type before the offer stage
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards for this role. Knowing which category fits your nationality and background lets you have an informed conversation with the recruiting team before an offer is extended, avoiding delays caused by misclassification.
Understand how H-1B cap timing affects your start date
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March and the earliest employment start date is October 1. Build this into your timeline during interviews so your expected start date aligns with what Deloitte's HR team can actually file for.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Project Consultant roles at Deloitte
Deloitte posts Project Consultant openings across multiple business lines and geographies at the same time. Migrate Mate filters those listings by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can identify which positions are actively open to sponsored candidates without sorting through the full careers site.
Prepare for Deloitte's documentation requests before your LCA is filed
Deloitte's immigration team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before any H-1B or E-3 petition can proceed. Having your employment verification letters, transcripts, and prior visa documentation organized in advance prevents delays between offer acceptance and petition submission.

Find Project Consultant at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Project Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Project Consultant roles. Deloitte has a dedicated immigration support infrastructure and works with legal counsel to file H-1B petitions for eligible hires in this function. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing your offer and registration window correctly is critical to securing an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Project Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
You can apply through Deloitte's careers site or through campus recruiting if you're a current student or recent graduate. Deloitte uses a structured interview process that typically includes a case interview and a behavioral round. You can also browse open Project Consultant listings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where sponsorship is available.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Project Consultant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization in Project Consultant roles. For permanent residency, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, and Chilean and Singaporean nationals can pursue the H-1B1, both of which avoid the standard H-1B lottery.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Project Consultant roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the consulting service line, such as business, economics, computer science, or engineering. Strong analytical skills, client-facing communication ability, and familiarity with project delivery frameworks are emphasized. For visa purposes, your degree must align specifically with the duties of the role to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Project Consultant at Deloitte?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the process runs from March registration through an October 1 start date, assuming lottery selection. E-3 and H-1B1 petitions can move faster since they bypass the lottery and can be filed consularly on a rolling basis. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically begins after an employee has been in role for some time and can take several years depending on your country of birth and the DOL backlog.
