Frame your degree around specialty occupation criteria
ZS evaluates Project Consultants for H-1B eligibility partly on whether your degree field directly maps to the role. A quantitative degree in statistics, operations research, or a related field strengthens your case more than a general business background.
Apply before your OPT expiration creates time pressure
ZS's Project Consultant hiring cycle peaks around MBA and master's graduation seasons. Applying six or more months before your OPT expires gives ZS's immigration team room to prepare an H-1B petition without rushing around the April 1 USCIS filing window.
Clarify TN eligibility early if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Project Consultant roles at ZS often qualify under the TN Management Consultant category. Confirm with your recruiter that your offer letter explicitly describes management consulting duties, since the DOL requires the role description to match the TN classification.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Project Consultant roles at ZS
Filter by visa type and employer on Migrate Mate to surface active Project Consultant openings at ZS Associates that align with your sponsorship needs, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing.
Confirm PERM timing expectations before accepting an offer
ZS initiates Green Card sponsorship for high-performing Project Consultants, but PERM labor certification through DOL typically begins after one to two years in role. Ask during the offer stage what the standard timeline looks like for this level.

Find Project Consultant at ZS Associates JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ZS Associates sponsor H-1B visas for Project Consultants?
Yes, ZS Associates sponsors H-1B visas for Project Consultants. The company participates in the annual H-1B lottery each April and has a dedicated immigration function that works with employees through the petition process. If you're on F-1 OPT, ZS will typically file your H-1B petition while your OPT remains valid, provided you're hired well before the April 1 filing window.
How do I apply for Project Consultant jobs at ZS Associates?
You can apply directly through ZS Associates' careers portal or browse open Project Consultant roles filtered by visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. ZS recruits Project Consultants primarily from MBA programs and quantitative master's programs, so campus recruiting timelines often open earlier than public job postings. Reaching out to ZS campus recruiters before applications open can give you a meaningful advantage.
Which visa types does ZS Associates commonly use for Project Consultant roles?
ZS Associates sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas most frequently for Project Consultants, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students still in or recently graduated from U.S. programs. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles fit the management consultant category. For long-term employees, ZS also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process.
What qualifications does ZS Associates expect for Project Consultant roles?
ZS Associates typically hires Project Consultants with a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, engineering, economics, or life sciences, or an MBA from a recognized program. The role involves client-facing analytics and strategy work in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, so demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders carry significant weight in the hiring process.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Project Consultant offer at ZS?
If ZS extends you a Project Consultant offer and you need H-1B sponsorship, your start date and filing timeline depend on where you fall in the cap cycle. USCIS accepts H-1B petitions starting April 1 for an October 1 start. If you're on OPT, you may be eligible for a 24-month STEM extension that bridges any gap. Clarify your specific situation with ZS's HR team at the offer stage so there are no surprises around work authorization timing.
