Frame your degree around consulting deliverables
ZS evaluates Program Analysts on their ability to translate quantitative coursework into client-facing work. Highlight specific projects from your degree that mirror consulting outputs, such as data models, market analyses, or structured recommendations, not just technical skills in isolation.
Target ZS offices by practice area fit
ZS staffs Program Analysts across life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare verticals. Research which office handles the practice area closest to your academic background before applying, since team fit often determines which hiring managers move quickly on international candidates.
Clarify your OPT or CPT timeline during early interviews
ZS regularly onboards candidates on F-1 OPT, including STEM OPT extensions. If your authorization window is narrow, surface your start date and OPT end date early so the recruiting team can coordinate H-1B cap filing before your work authorization lapses.
Understand how TN status applies if you qualify
Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying fields can often start at ZS on TN status before transitioning to H-1B. Confirm with ZS's immigration team that your role description satisfies DOL's TN occupation list, since Program Analyst scope varies by engagement.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Program Analyst roles
ZS posts Program Analyst openings across multiple offices and practice areas, and availability shifts frequently. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for ZS roles that flag visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where the offer is already in scope.
Confirm PERM eligibility before accepting a Green Card timeline
ZS supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for Program Analysts, but PERM labor certification requires you to hold the role for a qualifying period first. Ask your recruiter at the offer stage what the typical internal timeline looks like before assuming an immediate filing.

Find Program Analyst at ZS Associates JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ZS Associates sponsor H-1B visas for Program Analysts?
Yes, ZS Associates sponsors H-1B visas for Program Analysts. ZS participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery each April and also sponsors H-1B1 visas for eligible Australian and Chilean nationals. If you're already on F-1 OPT, ZS can file your H-1B petition during your authorization period so there's no gap in employment.
How do I apply for Program Analyst jobs at ZS Associates?
Apply directly through ZS Associates' careers portal or find open Program Analyst positions filtered by visa sponsorship availability on Migrate Mate. ZS's recruiting process for Program Analysts typically includes a structured case interview and a quantitative assessment, so prepare for both analytical and client-communication components before your first round.
Which visa types does ZS Associates commonly use for Program Analyst roles?
ZS Associates sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Program Analysts, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employees. F-1 OPT, including the STEM OPT extension, is the most common starting point for recent graduates since it allows immediate employment while H-1B cap season approaches.
What qualifications does ZS Associates expect for Program Analyst candidates?
ZS Associates typically hires Program Analysts from quantitative undergraduate or graduate programs, including economics, statistics, engineering, and life sciences. Beyond academic background, ZS looks for structured problem-solving, comfort with data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders, which reflects the client-delivery nature of the role across its consulting practices.
How do I time my application around H-1B cap filing at ZS Associates?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration each March for an October 1 start date. If you're finishing a degree or nearing the end of OPT, ZS needs to have extended you an offer and initiated the petition process before the registration window closes. Starting your job search in the fall semester ahead of your intended start year gives you the best window to secure an offer in time.
