Frame your degree around client delivery
Slalom's Program Analyst roles typically require a degree in business, information systems, or a related analytical field. When positioning your credentials, tie your coursework and projects directly to client-facing consulting work, not just technical skills.
Target Slalom offices in consulting-heavy markets
Slalom operates market-based offices rather than a single headquarters. Offices in Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, and New York carry higher Program Analyst demand. Concentrating your applications on high-volume markets improves your chances of landing an active sponsorship-eligible opening.
Search current Program Analyst openings on Migrate Mate
Slalom's open Program Analyst roles that include visa sponsorship are filterable by visa type on Migrate Mate. Searching there saves you from applying to listings that exclude sponsorship candidates before you invest time in the process.
Clarify sponsorship timing before accepting an offer
Consulting firms often onboard Program Analysts quickly, but H-1B sponsorship depends on the October 1 cap-subject start date. Confirm with your Slalom recruiter whether they'll use premium processing or cap-exempt filing if your start date is time-sensitive.
Prepare a strong specialty occupation argument early
USCIS scrutinizes Program Analyst petitions because the title is broad. Work with Slalom's immigration counsel to document that your specific duties require a bachelor's degree in a defined field, using the actual project scope and client deliverables in your offer letter.
Leverage E-3 if you hold Australian citizenship
Slalom sponsors E-3 visas, which bypass the H-1B lottery entirely. If you're an Australian citizen, flag your eligibility early in the interview process. The E-3 has a separate annual allocation that has never been exhausted, giving you a reliable path outside the cap.

Find Program Analyst at Slalom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Slalom sponsor H-1B visas for Program Analysts?
Yes, Slalom sponsors H-1B visas for Program Analyst roles. Because the role falls under the cap-subject H-1B category, your start date will align with the October 1 fiscal year. Slalom typically uses premium processing to reduce uncertainty, but confirm this with your recruiter since practice varies by office and hiring timeline.
Which visa types does Slalom commonly use for Program Analyst roles?
Slalom sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Program Analysts. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates, while H-1B is the standard long-term path. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 as a faster, lottery-free alternative.
How do I apply for Program Analyst jobs at Slalom?
You can find Program Analyst openings at Slalom filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces only roles where sponsorship is confirmed. Slalom's hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, one or two interviews focused on case-style problem solving and client communication, and a final offer discussion where you should raise sponsorship needs explicitly.
What qualifications does Slalom expect for Program Analyst candidates who need sponsorship?
Slalom generally looks for a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, finance, or a related analytical discipline. For sponsorship-eligible candidates, the degree field matters beyond just having a credential, since USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Relevant internship or project experience in consulting, data analysis, or process improvement strengthens both your application and the visa petition.
How do I time my application if my OPT or visa status is expiring soon?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply early enough that Slalom can file your H-1B petition before the April 1 registration window. USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If your OPT expires before October 1, ask whether a cap-gap extension or an OPT STEM extension covers the gap, and confirm Slalom's policy on bridging that period.
