Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Development Professional Jobs at Slalom Jobs
Frame your credentials around client-facing outcomes
Slalom evaluates business development candidates on pipeline ownership, stakeholder influence, and measurable revenue impact. Before applying, document specific deal cycles you've led and the consulting verticals you've sold into. Generalist sales resumes rarely advance.
Target Slalom's industry-aligned market units
Slalom structures business development hiring around industry verticals like healthcare, financial services, and technology. Identifying which market unit aligns with your background helps you apply to roles where your domain experience directly maps to active sponsorship needs.
Clarify visa category fit before your final interview
Business development roles at Slalom have been sponsored under H-1B, E-3, and TN depending on nationality. Confirm early whether your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, since non-technical BD titles occasionally face requests for evidence at the H-1B stage.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles across Slalom's markets
Business development openings at Slalom span dozens of U.S. cities and change frequently based on client pipeline. Use Migrate Mate to filter active positions by visa type and location so you're targeting roles with confirmed sponsorship rather than guessing from the general careers page.
Get your offer letter reviewed against your I-94 expiration
If you're changing employers, confirm your start date falls within your authorized period of stay or within the 60-day grace period USCIS allows after employment ends. A gap between your I-94 expiration and Slalom's onboarding date can create unauthorized status before the H-1B petition is filed.

Find Business Development Professional at Slalom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Slalom sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals?
Yes, Slalom sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals, though the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria. Business development titles in consulting can draw scrutiny because USCIS may question whether the position requires a specific bachelor's degree. Roles tied to a defined vertical, such as healthcare or financial services, with clear analytical or advisory responsibilities, are better positioned for approval.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Development Professional roles at Slalom?
Slalom sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for business development roles depending on your nationality and current status. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which has no lottery and is processed separately from the H-1B cap. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN if the role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation category. Permanent residency pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 are also available for longer-term employees.
How do I apply for Business Development Professional jobs at Slalom?
Apply directly through Slalom's careers site or find open positions filtered by visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. Slalom's business development hiring is organized by industry vertical and geography, so tailor your application to the specific market unit you're targeting. Most roles move through an initial recruiter screen, a panel interview focused on client scenarios, and a final conversation with market leadership before an offer is extended.
What qualifications and experience does Slalom expect for Business Development Professionals?
Slalom typically looks for candidates with direct experience selling or expanding professional services, management consulting, or technology consulting engagements. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is standard. Familiarity with consultative sales cycles, account planning, and executive-level relationship management is weighted heavily. Experience within Slalom's priority verticals, including healthcare, retail, or financial services, strengthens your candidacy for both the role and the visa petition.
How do I time my application if my OPT or current visa status is expiring soon?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your cap-gap or STEM OPT extension window before accepting an offer, since Slalom's H-1B filing must be submitted during the regular April filing period for an October 1 start. If you're transferring from another employer's H-1B, Slalom can file a portability petition and you can begin work once USCIS issues a receipt notice. Build in lead time with your recruiter so the LCA is certified by DOL before your petition is submitted.
