Align your credentials to consulting BD norms
Deloitte's BD roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field. Before applying, confirm your credentials qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, since generalist degrees without direct field alignment can complicate petition approvals.
Target Deloitte's industry sector teams strategically
Deloitte structures BD hiring around specific industry verticals like financial services, government, and technology. Applying to a sector where your client development experience matches reduces the likelihood of an H-1B Request for Evidence tied to specialty occupation qualification.
Browse open roles using Migrate Mate
Search Deloitte's active Business Development Professional openings filtered by visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. The platform surfaces roles where Deloitte has a documented sponsorship history, helping you prioritize applications where your visa type is already supported.
Ask recruiters about E-3 or H-1B1 eligibility early
If you're Australian or from Singapore or Chile, raise your visa type in the first recruiter conversation. Deloitte sponsors E-3 and H-1B1 petitions, which fall outside the H-1B lottery and can be filed year-round, removing a major timing constraint from your offer timeline.
Expect a DOL Labor Condition Application before your start date
Deloitte's HR and legal teams file an LCA with the DOL before submitting any H-1B or E-3 petition. Your actual start date depends on LCA certification, which typically takes seven business days, so build this into any negotiated onboarding timeline.
Prepare for role-specific RFE risk in BD positions
USCIS scrutinizes business development roles more than technical ones when assessing specialty occupation status. Collect offer letters, job descriptions, and any internal documentation that demonstrates a direct degree requirement for the specific BD functions you'll perform at Deloitte.

Find Business Development Professional at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Professional roles. Because BD positions involve client strategy and relationship management functions that USCIS evaluates carefully for specialty occupation status, Deloitte's legal team typically works with you to build a strong petition that ties the role's requirements directly to a specific degree field. Sponsorship is most straightforward when your background aligns with the industry vertical you're hired into.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Business Development Professional roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for Business Development Professionals. H-1B is the most common starting point for most nationalities. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, and candidates from Singapore or Chile may qualify for the H-1B1, both of which bypass the H-1B lottery and allow year-round filing.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Business Development Professional positions?
Deloitte generally expects a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a directly related field for BD roles. Prior experience in client acquisition, proposal development, or account management within professional services or consulting is a strong differentiator. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree field needs to correspond specifically to the duties outlined in the job description, not just business in general.
How do I apply for Business Development Professional jobs at Deloitte?
You can find and filter Deloitte's Business Development Professional openings by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with documented sponsorship history. Applications go through Deloitte's career portal, and sponsorship eligibility is typically confirmed during the initial recruiter screen. Applying to roles within Deloitte's industry sector teams where your background aligns directly improves both your interview prospects and the strength of any future visa petition.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline after receiving a Deloitte offer?
After accepting an offer, Deloitte's immigration team initiates a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which typically certifies within seven business days. For H-1B, your start date depends on the October 1 cap-subject period unless you're transferring from another H-1B employer. E-3 and H-1B1 petitions can be filed and approved year-round. Build at least four to six weeks between offer acceptance and your target start date to allow for LCA certification and petition preparation.
