Frame your experience around consulting sales cycles
Deloitte's Sales Manager roles focus on selling multi-year professional services engagements, not product or transactional sales. Tailor your resume to show experience managing long deal cycles, multi-stakeholder relationships, and revenue tied to service delivery outcomes.
Understand which visa fits your background
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards. Australian citizens apply under E-3, Chilean and Singaporean nationals under H-1B1. Each category has different caps, timelines, and filing windows, so identify your category before you apply.
Target Deloitte's industry-aligned sales verticals
Sales Manager openings at Deloitte are often organized by sector, such as financial services, technology, or government. Applying to a vertical where your client relationships already exist strengthens the business case for sponsorship and speeds internal approval.
Prepare credentials for a specialty occupation case
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations. For a Sales Manager position at a consulting firm, gather your degree transcripts, any professional certifications, and documentation connecting your field of study to complex B2B professional services sales.
Account for PERM timing if Green Card is the path
If Deloitte sponsors you for an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, the PERM labor certification process with DOL typically runs six to twelve months before the I-140 petition is filed. Build that timeline into your career planning, especially if your nonimmigrant status has an expiration approaching.

Find Sales Manager at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Manager roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Because Sales Manager titles vary significantly in scope across Deloitte's practice areas, the strength of your specialty occupation case depends on how directly your degree field connects to the specific consulting sales function you'd be performing.
How do I apply for Sales Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where roles are organized by service line, geography, and industry vertical. Identify openings aligned with your sector background before applying. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse Deloitte's current Sales Manager openings filtered by visa type, so you're targeting roles where your sponsorship category is a practical fit from the start.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Sales Manager roles?
Deloitte files across H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 categories for nonimmigrant work authorization, as well as EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for candidates pursuing permanent residence. E-3 is available only to Australian citizens, and H-1B1 applies to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. For most other nationalities, the H-1B is the primary nonimmigrant path, subject to the annual lottery.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Sales Manager roles?
Deloitte generally looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience selling professional services or consulting engagements. Familiarity with specific industries Deloitte serves, such as financial services or technology, is a consistent differentiator. For visa purposes, your degree must connect directly to the sales function you'd be performing, not just to business broadly.
How do I time my application around the H-1B filing window?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year, with a lottery selection in late March and petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting a Sales Manager role at Deloitte for H-1B sponsorship, begin conversations with recruiters in the fourth quarter of the prior year so your offer and internal approvals are in place well before the registration window opens.
